This is a great place
My boys have been in Tiger Rock for about five years. We can not say enough good things about the instructors and the experience. They have done a great job working with the individual needs of my kids and helping them grow. They love it! Sometimes they complain about coming to class but once they get there they always have a good time.
Well run, good people, fun classes, the girls really enjoy going
The martial arts instructors at Tiger Rock demonstrate exceptional expertise, combining technical proficiency with a genuine passion for teaching. Their clear and patient instruction created a positive learning environment, fostering both skill development and a sense of discipline. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable martial arts class.
They are amazing and my son looks forward to class everyday
Such a wonderful class for my son! He loves going! All of the staff here is so welcoming, knowledgeable, and understanding!
My boys Rylan and Lyle are really enjoying this journey and have learned so much. We are so grateful for all of the amazing instructors who dedicate their time and are so patient and up lifting. We love you all!
My daughter absolutely loves Tiger Rock and all of the staff there! It took us forever to find a sport that suited her and everyone is so welcoming and wonderful to all of the kids! Highly recommend! -Traci Mammen
Tiger Rock Woodstock GA is an amazing experience for your children. It teaches them self defense, discipline and focus
Both my boys have been attending for the past few years. The instructors are great and very patient with them. They have learned patience and discipline
Very professional studio. Learn martial arts, taekwondo and many life skills. Great for your child and even us old guys. I will be 60 this year and just tested for my third-degree black belt. My daughter is 12 and is third-degree, second level! Grandmaster Bowen has a great crew that helps keep things running smoothly and efficiently. All the instructors are great! The location is convenient off of of Rose Creek Drive in Towne Lake Parkway near Bells ferry Road. Check them out if you want to learn taekwondo and teach your children some discipline and life skills.
Great taekwondo studio. Grandmaster Bowen is very good with the kids and adults. She has several instructors I'd help her, and everyone is great. Located conveniently off of Rose Creek Drive not far from Bell ferry Road. Recent picture of our last class. This was testing for different black belt levels. Give them a try you won't regret it. Teach your kids focus, discipline, and self-defense. My daughter is almost 13 and I am almost 60 and we are both thriving under her instruction. I just tested for third-degree black belt and my daughter is third-degree black belt level 2.
Tiger Rock is great!! We have been coming for the past 6 years and could not ask for better role models and teachers. I would highly recommend for all ages.
They have really helped my child to focus, listen & learn discipline. The instructors are wonderful & take the time with each child, no matter the age. They make them earn their belts & give guidance. The class is very active & is put together to keep their attention. Highly recommend!
Such a wonderful place!! The staff is amazing!!
We have been going there for several months now. We really enjoy the flexibility of attending the 5 options during the week. Our daughter really seems to enjoy it and wants to continue for the foreseeable future!
Our son has studied at Bowen’s Tiger Rock for two and a half years and we have loved it. The instructors are excellent and their communication is first-rate. They have taught my son that if he puts in the work he will get the results. Recommended!
The absolute best!!! The staff is AMAZING! Our child has flourished since joining. If you are looking for your child to gain confidence, learn respect, make friends, learn to set boundaries, learn to communicate, understand commitment, and more this is the place you want to be! The team is like a big family. I am extremely thankful for the many life lessons and morals they have helped assist with. Their talks out on the mat have had more of an impact then they probably realize. Their lessons have opened the doors to continued conversations at home. Hands down it has been the best decision!
Cannot say enough great things about Bowen’s Tiger Rock. The growth and maturity that I’ve seen in my son since starting here is amazing. Highly recommend!
My kids love Tiger Rock! They have learned so much and build great friendships. Looking forward to many more years of Karate.
Tiger Rock has been an amazing journey for my little one. The life skills, friendships, and structure from each class make him want to come back. The instructors are well trained and very friendly! We appreciate all the hard work that goes into each class and how clean the facility is! We are thrilled to be apart of the TR family!
I know I rated as we were joining but I had to come back and expound. Going into this, I had no idea how my son would do with this training. But I knew he was being bullied, and had developed a lower self esteem and a quieter shy nature that wasn't always his way. So when he took an interest in breaking a board and joining at open house, I was curious but caution. But now.. My son has so much more confidence, is better behaved in school and at home. He's driven to succeed and the change over the last 6 months has made a big impression on this happy Mama's heart, not to mention his whole family. I will be forever grateful to Master Bowen, Master Jenkins, Master Bailey, Master Sexton and all the Tiger Rock team! It is truly an amazing program!
We LOVE Bowen's Tiger Rock. This is the first time my 8-year-old has actively been engaged with a sports program. He is more confident now! The coaches are patient yet hold firm boundaries to show and teach respect to the kids. If you're looking for somewhere your kid can grow both inner and outer strength, this program is for you.
"Awesome place for my son to grasp the understanding and discipline of martial arts! " The instructors make sure the students are up to par and understand the moves/skill of the belt level.
Bowen’s Tiger Rock is an amazing experience for my daughter in building confidence, perseverance, and self defense skills. 100% positive life experience.
We love Ms. Bowen and all the staff!! They are amazing and their program teaches more then just teakwondo. Character, morals, Discipline, focus and finding new friends!
We positively love Bowen’s Tiger Rock. We have three martial artists in our family of all different ranks, and each one of them is made to feel motivated, capable, and proud. The entire crew here is positive; every interaction we have with an instructor (or the owner!) is incredible. Highly, highly recommend this place!
Wonderfully encouraging instructors. A great place to have fun while learning self defense.
What a difference this training has done for my girl! We started 3 years ago and my daughter is now a Black Belt. The team truly cares for all that go there. The kids have grown in this together as well. great group!
We love Bowen’s Tiger Rock! It has been a wonder bonding moment for me and my daughter. I had to take a step back due to injury, but I will be back! The challenges and focus of this group is incredible. We both have met new friends and look forward to growing with them!
We love Tiger Rock! The entire master team there is just awesome! The instructors love what they do, and I see how my son is gaining self-confidence, showing and receiving respect, following fast-paced instructions, enhanced coordination, and just enjoying a good work out. They empathize a total and complete mind and body result. I love how at the end of each class they welcome the parents into the dojo, and we get to run through a final exercise with my son. This builds/ deepens the bond between us.
Five stars! Bowen's Tiger Rock Martial Arts is awesome. The studio is large, spacious, CLEAN, and comfortable to me as a spectator. The instructors are kind, caring, motivational--very inspirational! I have already seen a change in my child after just a few classes. This business is woman-owned and these folks have been in the business for close to 3 decades. This martial arts school is the best of the best. If you're considering martial arts for yourself of your children, pay them a visit. You'll be as impressed as I have been.
This is by far the best martial arts studio I have been to in the area. They are extremely organized and structured as far as scheduling, emails, and in class. The space is very clean. The owner and staff are friendly and encouraging. It is always a positive experience and my son enjoys it very much!
I can't say enough about Bowen's Tiger Rock! We knew that my son needed to be more active and he wasn't interested in traditional sports so we thought we'd give Tiger Rock a try. He fell in love! Each staff member (yes, every single one) is absolutely incredible. My son doesn't always do everything perfectly (who does, right?), but they rally around each child and encourage them to do their best in such an uplifting manner. (My son likes to give up if he isn't the best, so this is HUGE for us). If you've had a single thought about giving them a try, do it!
Love this place, wonderful instructors!!! Very passionate and patient with the cubs
I have my little Nicolas in tiger Cubs and so far so happy , we love it , they always keep in touch with us .
Bowen’s Tiger Rock is hands down the best martial arts academy around! My son has been going here for 3 1/2 years and loves it. You won’t find one instructor that isn’t awesome and goes above and beyond in everything they do. My sons confidence has skyrocketed since he started. I can’t say enough great things about this school.
My daughter was nervous about trying martial arts. But after her first lesson, she came home happy and excited. The instructors are both professional and great at working with their students. After an introductory lesson, we signed my daughter up and she is going three times a week. In addition, the pricing is excellent. I think I might join soon!
My daughter Maddie loves this place! Everyone there is supportive and professional. My daughters confidence has greatly improved and she enjoys going to class! It’s truly a wonderful place! I highly recommend it!
My daughter went to In for a 5 day free trial and was hooked! She has been with Bowen's Tiger Rock for several months now and it has changed her. She is more focused and willing to do anything - she doesn't shy away. Recently I was missing competition in my life so I also joined. I do not regret this decision. Every class is challenging, but fun! In just a few short months I am now a green belt! I look forward to every class and it has been a wonderful bonding moment for me and my daughter as well.
The instructor name Christopher weekley is so talented!!!!
Professional martial arts training in a family friendly environment.
My family and I have had the pleasure of being a part of Bowen Tiger Rock's school now for the past two years and I wanted to say that it has been a pleasure being a part of this school and the community they have created not only for the children but for the parent's as well! We are sad to be leaving them only due to a relocation out of state! We were recommended by a Karate Teacher that we fell in love with at another school and he was leaving there and because he left, we left as well due to the lack of quality customer service and the drive was becoming to much as well! He happily recommended Bowen Tiger Rock to us and shared that Ms. Bowen and her school is where he went when he was young and it was because of her and her school that he had become the man we admired now teaching our children. It was a WIN for us a closer drive, but the main win for us was Ms. Bowen, Ms.Bailey and ALL the other Teacher's who were involved in teaching our children karate! Our children are Homeschooled and the first thing people want to ask is about them not being socialized with other children. We didn't want our kids to miss out on having fun, or being socialized due to what we wanted value wise for our children and our family. At this school there is a definite respect for Self, Your Parents, Your Teacher's, and Your Community this we found invaluable! This school also teaches life skills about Perseverance and Resiliency! Our son went through his recent blue belt testing and fell a little short to accomplish the goal of breaking two out of four boards and had to repeat his belt level again. For me as his Mom it hurt my heart dearly and I secretly prayed they would let him pass through but they didn't! That was not a bad thing as I am his Mom and his Teacher and this taught not only our son but our daughter about perseverance and being resilient, when you fall you get back up and to NEVER GIVE UP! He may not have passed that belt testing but when he went shortly after to his first District Tournament that same little boy won a bronze medal for breaking two out of the four boards! This lesson was not something we could have verbally taught either of our children but that they both learned due to this school and teaching him the true definition of Winners Never Quit and Quitters Never Win! So I highly recommend this school for ALL the Homeschool parents out there and just ALL the parent's out there blessed to be a part of this school and community in general AND now has inspired me to take karate as well! Thank you Ms. Bowen, Ms. Bailey and Staff for embracing not only our children but our entire family as well!
Highly recommend this academy, not just for the physical training it gives; but for mental fortitude and moral values it instills in both children and adults. Growing up training here for almost 10 years, molded me into the person I am today; and I am incredibly grateful for the training Ms. Bowen and the team gave to me. Valuable life lessons are learned here. Thank you!
We love tiger rock. Our eldest son started at age 5 and now our youngest at 3.5. Learning discipline and structure.
Ms. Bowen and her staff are amazing!! They are focused on strong ethics and family values. What a great place!!
We love Bowen’sTiger Rock! The instructors are awesome and know just what the kids need to learn and grow!!
Love this place and the instructors that treat our kids as their own. Tiger Rock provides a fun, energized environment for the students to focus and achieve their goals of becoming the best version of themselves. My son loves training here.
My 1st & 3rd grade daughters have been coming to Ms. Bowen's academy for over 2.5 years now. One of them just earned her black belt. Whereas this is a huge achievement, it is not the greatest thing about their experience here. The greatest thing about Bowen's Tiger Rock is it builds character. I know that my girls are becoming responsible ladies AND that they are surrounded by children who are also of high character. These are the children I want my girls hanging out with as they get older; and the Tiger Rock instructors are the kind of adults I want my children to emulate. As a matter of fact, other than their mother, I can think of no female role model better than Ms. Bowen.
We have been going to Bowen's Tiger rock for almost 4 years. From the moment we walked into the door we were welcomed as family. The instructors relish in your children's accomplishments as well as help them learn from their defeats. Your child will gain confidence, poise, self awareness, body control and discipline. They will also learn to be supportive of their other class mates and respectful to those around them. They also get to learn a ton of really awesome self defense moves and get to do fun things like break boards and spar! Oh they will also gain an instant support group of friends that treat them like family!
Best place in town! Master Bowen and her staff are amazing!
As an active member for 8yrs, I remain in awe at the incredible impact this academy has in the community. If you are looking for quality martial art training in a positive, family friendly environment, then please join us for a class!
Excellent instruction, great exercise -- a wonderful family experience. Being a part of Bowen's TR academy has had such a positive influence on our family in so many ways. Bowen's is more than teaching martial arts -- Ms. Bowen 's Tiger Rock academy teaches life lessons, promotes positive relationships, self-defense, anti-bullying, and so much more. Most importantly, the instructors and students promote being the best you can be for family, community, and each other. Bowen's TKD is for both children and adults -- come and check it out!
Wonderful experience for my son. So thankful for the instructors positive instruction in every lesson.
I rarely give a full five stars to anything because there is always room for improvement but this place is phenomenal! Master Bowen and staff have a way with children that I have never experienced in any other sport we have tried in our area (we have done them all!). The level of respect between student and teacher is amazing. Not only are they teaching them a sport, they are teaching them lessons they can use in life off the mat! If you have been thinking about Martial Arts for your child, I highly recommend giving Bowen's Tiger-Rock a try.
Bowens Taekwondo is an amazing place. We enrolled our son in classes almost 10 years ago and have loved every minute! Our son receives instruction in taekwondo as well as moral and character development, on and off the mat. As parents, we are grateful not only for the opportunities our son has received in the dojo but for the second family we have gained! Give it a try, you won't be sorry:-)
Excelent instructors team ever...
Bowen's Tiger rock Academy is hands down the best martial arts academy in Woodstock. I've had the privilege of learning from Sr. Master Bowen for over 15 years. Sr. Master Bowen is a great role model and a highly skilled martial artist that has been sought after and visited by martial artist all over the United States to learn from her. Master Bowen Tiger-Rock Academy is the oldest Tiger-Rock academy in Georgia. She's been Woodstock for over 20 years. If you're looking for a martial arts academy this is the Academy I suggest.
I love doing martial arts here and have finally earned my black belt with hard work. So I highly recommend this place for your taekwondo needs.
My son loves it there, the instructors are all really good with the kids. I believe he is learning some great life lessons as well as the technique. They do a great job communicating with parents, I highly recommend this place.
Bowen's Tiger Rock is so many different things to us. Primarily, it is the place where each of my children learn taekwondo under the direction of the most amazing, caring, sincere and talented instructors around. Senior Master Lili Bowen, Ms. Tina Johnson, Mr. Legant and Mr. Jenkins are the BEST instructors! They know each and every student and they know how to teach every type of student in a positive, structured, comfortable atmosphere. Every student is different, and they get that. Bowen's Tiger Rock teaches respect, discipline and demonstrates how hard work and dedication is key to life, just as it is with taekwondo. They motivate each and every student positively and every child, and adult, works to his/her highest potential as a result. Senior Master Lili Bowen has created an environment that molds our young people into respectful citizens mindful of each other. I have never seen a more polite, well-behaved, and all around wonderful group of young people...and that is owed to the excellent quality of instructors who run this amazing establishment.
I highly recommend Bowen's Tiger Rock! Miss Bowen, Miss Bailey, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Jenkins and Mr. French are the most dedicated and caring instructors you will ever find. My son is 8 years old and he loves attending classes. He has learned how to defend himself and is much more confident. Class times are very convenient.
Bowen's Tiger Rock TKD is where it's at for youth AND adults!!! What this academy offers through it's exceptional instructors is undoubtedly an experience for the whole body - mind, body and spirit! Our 13 year old has excelled not only physically through taekwondo, but we have seen tremendous maturity and emotional growth in her with each class and cycle she completes. And parents - they offer strength & conditioning classes for all levels of fitness (beginners to athletes).
Tiger Rock is the place to be after school. The staff, facility, and atmosphere "ROCK"!
Lili Bowen and her staff provide an exceptional environment for learning and developing. They instill confidence; extract unique and individual talents from each and every student.
My two daughters and I joined Bowen TKD after moving here this summer. We had been taking TKD in another state for a year and did not know what to expect moving to a different academy. Ms. Bowen and her staff made us feel very welcome and accepted into the program. Ms. Bowen is very energetic and teaches with positive reinforcement, which the kids really respond to. My girls really look up to her! Her staff is very knowledgeable as well and are really patient with the kids and the adults. They take the time to make sure you understand what you are doing. They teach you valuable skills to use in physical attacks and help the kids understand how to handle bullies and non-physical attacks. For the adults who are thinking about joining, Ms. Bowen's adult class is great. Everyone helps each other out and push you to be your best. We looked into several places to transfer to in the area but knew when we came to Bowen's TKD this was the place...and we were right! It is worth attending a trial class, both kids and adults!
If they take their children, they understand that they have to pay to enter and when they take it out they also have to pay.How crazy the day you don't want to go anymore you'll also pay it's absurd
