Frankie has been training at Black Label Jiu Jitsu since September, and the progress he has made has been brilliant. He is learning all the time, becoming much more composed when sparring, and has now earned four stripes on his white belt. Louis and the whole coaching team are patient, attentive and genuinely invested in helping every child improve. I would highly recommend Black Label to any parent who wants their child to build confidence, discipline and learn how to defend themselves using proper technique.
Can't fault Louis and Dave. Absolutely fantastic coaches. My 5 year old daughter joined recently and they've been extremely patient and helpful in her learning journey. They're super friendly and professional. The studio is lovely, very open and clean. Highly recommend.
Amazing gym, I would highly recommend! I have never done Jiu Jitsu before so I was nervous to try it out but everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Louis is a great teacher and takes the time to explain and ensure you understand. I really love it and the classes are great fun, if you’re thinking about joining then just JOIN😎
Highly recommend BLJJA! I joined as a total beginner and have been blown away by the quality of teaching. It’s a very welcoming environment for solo newcomers, and the progress you'll make in a short time is incredible. Great people, great training!

Black label is a great place to learn jiu jitsu. Louis has a great coaching style and the class structure allows you to learn at your own pace. There is a great team atmosphere with club members supporting those who are competing as well as organised team days out and meals. I’d 100% recommend anyone who’s local to the area and wants to try jiu jitsu coming to black label.

A must if you want to progress fast in Jiu-Jitsu. Besides Loui’s deep knowledge, he’s genuinely a coach; he’ll guide you through challenges, help you break through blocks, and give you keys that might take months or even years to discover on your own. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The vibe in the gym is always positive and motivating!
A lovely group of people – really friendly, helpful, and with a great community spirit. There’s always something new to learn, plenty of laughs on the mats, and even chances to go out together off the mats too. Coach Louis is excellent at breaking down techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. As someone with autism, I often struggle to pick things up, but Louis takes the time to explain clearly and make sure it clicks – which has made a huge difference to my training. Another highlight is Footsweep Fridays with the black belts in Judo, led by Coach Ben Wescott. It’s such a great addition to the timetable and really adds to the variety of training. I’m really enjoying my training lately – it’s a great place to grow, learn, and be part of a supportive community.

Posted 1 year agoAfter previously learning bjj for 4 years, I haven’t seen such excellence in a gym. For example the coach Louis ensures that no one is feeling like a stranger once they walk in. Everyone is welcoming towards beginners while knowing each-other like family. The coach Louis is extremely understanding and skilled in his profession making sure that none of his students leave a session slightly confused. Making him the perfect coach a student can ask for. If you want to learn fundamentals skills that can help you throughout life while making life long friends I highly recommend you come along to Black Label Brazilian jui jitsu.
Posted 1 year agoBeing coached by Professor Corazza really is a life changing experience. His knowledge on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and fitness is out of this world. The energy at every single class is an atmosphere I have never experienced. The team has been built from the ground up, everyone shares such a love and passion for the sport, the respect and motivation given makes everyone feel so welcome and comfortable regardless of belt level. I cannot recommend Black Label enough for both beginners and experienced fighters. Anyone and everyone really are welcome!

Professor Louis is incredibly knowledgeable and offers a teaching method that is clear, detailed, and adaptable for all levels of experience. The environment is very open and welcoming, with weekly fundamental and advanced classes that cater to both beginners and advanced . If you're looking for the best place to train BJJ, this academy is definitely the spot to be!
Posted 1 year agoThis has been the single best gym I’ve ever trained in. The coaching standard is so high it’s hard to even articulate. I’ve spent the last 22 years in and around professional martial arts and coaches. Louis’ dissection of technique and translation into simple, manageable and structured topics is second to none. The first year training with BLJJA has been a fully immersive experience with a wealth of knowledge. The culture created within the group as a whole has helped to welcome first timers and seasoned veterans of the game with a friendly and respectful vibe. If you’re considering adding BJJ into your life or finding a new gym. This is the place to be if you love the Gi.
