I started at Black Ice judo in January 2023 with only a limited experience in grappling. In the time that I've been here, I have developed into a totally different martial artist. The main instructor, Josh, as well as the other instructors, provides world-class instruction in a digestable manner that is catered to each of our unique physical abilities. Truly, no one gets left behind in class. It really is a judgment free zone where we can all develop at our pace and learn some high level judo and bjj. I highly recommend this place for kids and adults of all backgrounds and physical abilities. You won't regret it.
Posted 7 months agoI love everything about Black Ice Judo. It’s family oriented. It teaches discipline along with perseverance. We encourage each other. If you want to learn judo, kickboxing or just want to get your body in shape. This is the place to be. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Posted 7 months agoI started training with Black Ice Judo a little over a year ago to work towards better health. Im now 70lbs lighter than I was when I moved to Atlanta and I would recommend it to just about anyone. I’m new to martial arts, in my late 30s, and wasn’t sure what to expect at first. From day one the head instructor, Josh, the other Judokas, and the students, made me feel welcome. They train hard and never stop showing support and encouragement. Having a good community is what’s important to me, but the instruction is world-class as well. My first phone call with Josh is what convinced me to try it out, but the hook to stay was learning that Black Ice is one of the best judo clubs in the U.S.
Posted 7 months agoBest place to learn and train Judo in Georgia. Josh White, the main instructor, is a world class judo player who also is a BJJ black belt and won titles in MMA. It is great atmosphere where we train hard but also learn important skills and techniques. Highly recommend no matter your skill level or goals - whether to have fun and learn cool skills or become a high-level competitor.
