Bear Cave has had such a positive impact on my son in multiple ways. Coach Ben along with all the other coaches are great! It’s not just a gym it’s a community.
My boys have been with Bear Cave for the past 5 years and their success can be greatly attributed to Ben V. He has brought them to the next level. He has taught them lessons on and off the mat that will last them for a life time. The coaching instruction is top notch and they have some of the best training partners in the state. We are very grateful to have found this club.
I cannot say enough good things about this club and this family. Great Coaching, Great environment, best wrestling club hands down
Exceptional coaching! Practices are organized and well structured, techniques are taught progressively. Good mix of drill, situations and live in each practice. Coaches are engaged and work with all of the kids, you’ll never find a coach staring at his phone or only working with the best kids at the center of the room. Overall a very high level of wrestling skill, but enough of a mix that there is competition for all levels of wrestlers.
Great place for beginners to advanced.
This nationally recognized wrestling program came highly recommended to us, and did not disappoint! Coach Ben and his team have a great coaching style that has been so beneficial for our daughter. He has laid a great technical foundation and love of the sport that continues to grow! Go Bear Cave!
Great coaching and program. Focuses on building confidence, toughness, respect and discipline, not just winning. Very grateful to have found this place for our boys.

Bear Cave Wrestling is an amazing program. My sons have gained so much knowledge and skill in wrestling because of the amazing coaching that is done for this program.
Love Bear Cave! Ben is an excellent coach. He’s kind and respectful but also motivates the kids to work hard and reach their full potential. He makes class fun while teaching the fundamentals and advanced techniques. He has a great rapport with parents and his fellow coaches. Absolutely recommend Bear Cave!
Our boys have had the opportunity to practice in many rooms in CO and across the country. When it comes to consistent and high level teaching nobody does it better than Ben. When it comes to tough, hard working practice partners the Bear Cave room is as good as it gets. Our sons are lucky that they get to lace up their wrestling shoes and try to become better people in the BC wrestling room.
Couldn't ask for a better club! Not only did my son's wrestling abilities increase exponentially, but his overall attitude and confidence toward every day life improved. Ben doesn't just teach wrestling he teaches wrestlers to be respectful, good students, and to be well rounded people. I couldn't be happier with our experience at Bear Cave!
Great wrestling club. Lots of top level kids allowing my son to learn and grow quickly. At the end of each practice Ben (owner/coach) shares a life lesson, mostly related to making good life choices. I can't say enough good things about this program!
There is so much that could be Said about Bear Cave Wrestling Academy, but I think the important things are these: 1.COACHING QUALITY - Ben Vombaur is TRULY dedicated to the kids he trains. He cares about them, and he invests in their life. It is important, ESPECIALLY for young men, to have men come along side and speak truth and encouragement to them, and I am thankful he is doing that for my boys. It isn't just Ben though, there is a core of caring coaches that invest daily in the kids, and that investment pays dividends in the young people walking out of the room's doors into the world. 2. WRESTLING QUALITY - The quality of the wrestling training is second to none. It is very clear when you are in this room that the PURPOSE is to get better, to wrestle at an elite level. From the drilling to the conditioning to the live go's, Bear Cave Wrestling is focused on continual improvement...something I wish we could bring to society as a whole. This room can point to successful wrestlers at every collegiate, national and even international level that came from it's mat...and many of them CHOOSE to come back because of the quality of training they get/got here. 3. QUALITY OF COMMUNITY - The kids in this room become friends. My 14 year old son has made some of his best friends in this room. My 11 year old son looks forward to seeing his buddies four days a week, and while I am sure he should wrestle more and talk less, it is a place where he can get better amongst people he knows and enjoys. They are young men, working to get better at the hardest sport in the world, and it is forging lifelong friendships. At the end of the day, there are a lot of options when it comes to youth sports. Where I am trying to bring up young men of Character, that understand working beyond their limits, and that understand that hard work IS its own reward, I cannot think of anywhere else in Northern Colorado that I would plant our boys. I can do NOTHING but encourage you to start TODAY at Bear Cave Wrestling Academy.
We love Bear Cave and Coach Vombaur and have been attending since my high schooler was a young developing wrestler! He’s very supportive of his wrestlers, teaches at age appropriate levels with tried and true methods, and provides great opportunities for growth and development of his wrestlers on all levels, state wide and nationally. If you want progression for your wrestler, I highly recommend!
Great group at bear cave, Ben has a tried and true methodology that not only produced champions but more importantly given the kids purpose and a sense of belonging. Parents are able to watch in full view the only complaint I have is that the trial period is so short.
My son loves Bear Cave. It is a truly great wrestling academy. Great kids and great coaches!
My kids have attended several different clubs in Colorado. Bear Cave is definitely the best of them. Their program is well thought out, organized, and effective. Ben and Will supply your wrestlers everything they need to succeed and you would be hard pressed to find a harder working group of kids. The schedule is consistent and professional and the price is more than fair for what they offer.
By far the very best wrestling instruction in the country, coach Ben and Will grow your child’s wrestling skills from the ground up, and truly produce top notch athletes. My son absolutely loves his team and coaches and has GREATLY improved his skills in the short time we have been here so far!
Bear Cave is an amazing club run by a wonderful family. The coaches, partners and opportunities provided are unmatched. Our son has wrestled for BC for 6 years and it has been the best decision for him!
My son (age 13, intermediate youth), absolutely loves this club. He heard about it before we lived close enough for him to attend, so upon moving to Greeley, he had to check it out. He loves his coaches as well as the other kids. Every nite he's able to tell me something new he learned, or how he improved on an already known technique. Kelli is awesome, always helpful and so easy to work with!
My boy has shown more improvement in a month here than he has in the past 2 years at his previous club. The level of competition is great and the coaches really push the kids.
