Atlas is one of the most incredible facilities in the country, I have yet to see a better kitted out or cleaner gym. That alone would warrant a good training environment however the culture developed and level built around their Head Coach Dean is tremendous. From white belt to black belt everyone has an infectious enthusiasm and hunger to learn(and share) technique at a high level. If you are thinking of starting BJJ or looking for your new home - I would struggle to recommend another gym within the area.

I started as a beginner and from the very first session felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged to keep showing up. The coaching is clear, patient, and detailed, with a strong focus on learning proper technique rather than ego. The training environment is respectful and motivating, with great training partners who genuinely want to see you improve. I’ve grown so much in confidence, discipline, and resilience since joining, and I honestly look forward to every session. This gym isn’t just about jiujitsu, it’s about growth and showing up for yourself. I’m genuinely grateful I found it and couldn’t recommend it more.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5– Highly Recommend Atlas Martial Academy I first brought my son to Atlas Martial Academy due to a bullying issue, and I promised him I’d get involved too. I just wish I’d started 20 years ago. From day one, the academy has had a warm, family feel. Everyone is welcoming, which means a lot when you’re trying something completely new and a bit intimidating. The coaching team is incredibly knowledgeable, and the focus throughout the academy is on helping each other improve. The academy is constantly evolving based on member feedback and demand from adding 6am classes, to offering yoga sessions to support flexibility, to hosting seminars that deepen your knowledge. It’s clear they genuinely care about your progression both on and off the mats. Once you earn your first stripe, you’ll be hooked, trust me. You immediately want to give back and support others the same way you were supported. Competition days are optional but a great indicator of your level. Even teammates who don’t compete often come along just to support. You don’t just make training partners here — you make friends for life. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Atlas Martial Academy more. And with a free trial available, there’s really no reason not to give it a go.

I’ve been training Muay Thai at Atlas for the last 8 months and would recommend the gym to anyone. It’s a very clean and tidy gym which makes a very nice training environment. The training area is spacious and has some good kit. The coaches are genuinely nice and approachable people who put their members experience first and are always welcoming at every session. There’s a nice mix of beginners and more experienced athletes, and the community feel is like no other gym I’ve been to. This isn’t a hardcore fighting gym, but a place where people of all levels can feel like part of the community and can grow into their sport. I’m looking forward to continuing my training at Atlas and keep progressing with Muay Thai.
