I recently decided to try BJJ and the lads at the club have been friendlier and more welcoming than I ever could have imagined . There is a great sense of community surrounding the club and every session pushes me and helps me to learn . Overall, couldn't recommend this club enough as there is something for all levels .

I've been training at this jiu-jitsu gym for over 10 years, and it's an amazing place to be. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and friendly, making it something I always look forward to. Whether you're looking to learn basic self-defense or aiming for high-level competition, there's something here for everyone. You don't have to wait until you're in shape to join; the gym is great for all fitness levels, and you'll get fitter as you train so if you are thinking of starting do it now, you won't regret it. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, and the sense of community is fantastic. It's a place where you not only train but also make great friends.

An inspirational club !! I’ve been part of Athy Jiu Jitsu for over a year now, and joining was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The training has helped me balance fitness with mobility and strength, and it has even pushed me on in other sports — I had an injury-free year and more gas in the tank playing with Athy’s Senior Gaelic C team, all while in my early forties. Every member of the club, from black belts to brand-new white belts, has been incredibly supportive throughout this journey. The self-defence aspect of the classes gives you real confidence and the knowledge to protect yourself and others. It’s a different type of fitness, and a proper team effort, and the bonus is the craic is mighty, which makes it that bit easier to walk up the steps and into the dojo each week. 10/10. Keep up the great work!
