Mr Miller at ATA Aberdeen is one of the best in the business. Mr Miller provides elite customer service through constant communication. It’s a breath of fresh air to have someone who is teaching discipline and respect be able to walk to talk. Mr Miller is able to build any child’s confidence but do so while making everyone smile. Anyone who is looking to change their child’s life for the better should go to ATA Martial Arts in Aberdeen.
Great place for kids to learn
My Granddaughter loves ATA Martial Arts Aberdeen, MD. Mr. Miller and Ms. Pepper are amazing instructors, she's always so excited to go to class and learn from them. She has learned discipline, respect, self control and she takes pride in what she does at ATA! I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in pursuing martial arts to enroll at ATA!
ATA is the best program!! It has built confidence in my daughter and the instructors are truly amazing!!
Speechless with the amazing experience , great instructors.
Great gym and classes for young ones. Instructors are great!
This place is awesome. Miss Pepper and Mr Miller are great with my daughter. She is learning so much from ATA. They have a customer for a very long time.
My son’s first belt promotion was this evening! We decided to sign him up in January with the special intro offer to see if it would help him with mindfulness, patience, and have a good influence outside of our household. Mr Miller, Ms Pepper, and Mr Brown have all been extremely helpful in helping our son succeed and are great instructors! After the promotion period ended, we decided to sign him up. He goes twice a week and looks forward to going each time.He has something to work towards and looks forward to doing , he even practices at home which is a good change. Thank you ATA!!
Today was my daughter's first belt promotion, I am very happy and proud of everything she has achieved thanks to ATA and the great work of Mr Miller and Mrs Pepper. She is happier, more confident and very excited about her promotion. From the beginning the registration process was transparent, without deception, Mr Miller explained everything to me step by step and after completing the trial of the Facebook offer we decided to subscribe because she liked it but above all because Aberdeen ATS we felt like family.
I love the energy and confidence the staff instills in the students. They embrace the energy of the sport and encourage everyone to do their best.
I LOVE ATA Martial Arts in Aberdeen. My sons are learning so much. Their confidence, discipline and focus continues to grow and they are having so much fun. Highly recommended! ❤️
My little man is 5, he does the after school program as well as two classes a week. And he absolutely loves it! All the instructors are fantastic and that's all he talks about.
I would like to add to my previous review that even though the instructors have changed, the new instructor is amazing! All of ATA’s instructors are so good with everyone! Mr. Miller, who transferred to the Aberdeen location, is very encouraging, personable, adds a sense of light humor to his teachings and makes learning extremely fun! Both instructors, Mr. Miller and Ms. Martin, are amazing to work with! They add encouragement and fun lessons into all of their teachings; this makes a huge difference with learning! I have never not seen them smile, they truly love what they do. There is a big difference in energy when someone loves their job! On a personal level, both of my kids have been going to Aberdeen ATA for 6 months. They both already have so much more confidence in themselves and my daughter has come out of her shell and has finally found her voice. They were both in a bullying situation, and now have the mindset and tools to overcome these situations. Confidence is key for survival. Especially now. No amount of money or recognition of Aberdeen ATA will ever be enough! It may seem like a lot of money for an investment, but if the monthly charge is broken down, technically each class comes out to be $27 or $30 each (depending on your plan). That actually is a great price! However, in the end it is priceless to acquire the confidence, knowledge, and tools you need to survive in this life. And not just in school settings, but in adult situations too. ATA is more than learning Taekwondo, you become part of a family and are also learning how to find yourself and survive. I owe so much to Aberdeen ATA! I now know my kids won’t be doormats now or later in life. They’ll also have everything they need to survive and persevere, even after I’m gone. There is no greater feeling than that as a parent! I implore anyone to check out their trial offers and see what it’s all about. I promise you won’t be disappointed! ATA, saving one life at a time.
Wonderful and friendly, very welcoming and great with all the kids!
My kids have been going to Aberdeen ATA and their confidence, even after 6 weeks, has gotten so much better! The instructors, Mr. Sklenar and Ms. Martin, are not just professional and helpful, but super nice and encouraging. They also make learning fun. My daughter, who was super intimidated of being in any spotlight, went from hiding to giving me thumbs up and smiling after each of her turns. My son has gotten so much better too. They are learning so much and not even realizing it. At their lessons, my son, who normally tries to hide his emotions, can’t help but grin. They both have a lot of fun while learning how to defend themselves, and are able to recall what they’ve learned better because of this. Mr. Sklenar also has his degree in Psychology with a primary focus on Autism and ADHD. He is extremely patient, helpful, and encouraging with both kids and adults. This is an amazing place to learn Martial Arts! It not only allows you to learn how to defend yourself, but it is also a very therapeutic and positive place to come to. Mr. Sklenar and Ms. Martin are both good with everyone in each age group (kids and adults). To make it even better, they also have an occasional “parents night,” where you can drop your kids off for a few hours and they play games (like dodgeball or laser tag ect) so the parents can go out for a few hours to themselves. To know your kids are in a safe place, while being able to go out, is a different level of ease so that you can truly enjoy date night. The instructors are black belts, who is going to mess with them? This place is amazing! There is so much that Aberdeen ATA has to offer. It’s not just a place to learn Martial Arts, it is a whole package! With great trial prices too, I definitely recommend Aberdeen ATA! I give it 20 stars out of 5.
I have been going here for about a month and I'm absolutely falling in love with this place sensai Sclenar is one of the best teachers I've ever had and helps you through anything if needed I definitely recommend this dojo class
We really enjoy bringing our daughter here every week for class. The teacher is great with the kids and he always make the classes fun.. I am very happy that my daughter has had this wonderful experience and hoping she can get her black belt one day.
Two and a half weeks ago I bribe (mac and cheese) my youngest son (11) to try martial arts again. My first two tries he just ran around and had very little interest. This is not a slight to the other studios, he was just young and not a good fit for him. Anyway, two and a half weeks ago we walked into ATA Aberdeen and for the first time my youngest participated and enjoyed himself. This is great since he loves computers most days. Bonus is I don't have to fight him to leave the house for ATA practice. 🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️
We wanted to put our 10 year old son in some sort of sport to help take away from screen time. We had tried lacrosse and basketball but unfortunately those didn't pan out for him. Our son is very fidgety and has a short attention span. We wanted something that could help our son focus, follow directions, teach responsibility and respect all while being active and having fun. We had seen the ad on Facebook $21 for 21 days and thought let's give it a try. We figured this was an introductory price as we expected to be asked to sign up for some sort of program once the 21 days were over. At our son's first class Mr. Sklenar was very informative about if at anytime we wanted to cancel we could. I can understand how it could catch some off guard at the first class but again we had no problems asking questions to get prompt answers about canceling and etc. That being said after the first week of class we saw a huge difference in our son. He was excited to go to class, he was paying attention, focused and had a boost confidence...he actually cared and wanted to go to class instead of staying home begging to playing video games. We are now at the end of our 21 days and we've signed up for the year. Mr. Sklenar and the other instructors are very patient and kind with all the kids, and there are alot of kids to coordinate and instruct. We are so excited to have ATA in Aberdeen, we can't wait for his first official tournament. We are truly looking forward to seeing our son take the principles of ATA and applying them at home and in school.
We just finished our 21 day trail and my 10 year old is hooked. Mr. Sklenar is a fantastic instructor. He keeps the all the kids engaged and gives them a powerful message at the start and end of every class. The dojo and equipment is all clean and in great condition. I am very happy with everything.
They offered a 21 day trail for $21 on Facebook, but the very first day of class, they insist that you sign up for a year long contract or month to month agreement (auto billed to a credit card) with terms that say you will give them 60 days notice if you cancel the month to month. Did not even give us the opportunity to bring our son for the three week trial we paid for before demanding we sign up for a longer term. We had no problem paying the monthly fee after making sure our son likes the classes and we liked the instructors, but I am not a fan of bait and switch advertising.
