The best decision that we have made was putting my grandson in 5 Star Martial Arts! I'm amazed at how much discipline, self control, and confidence he has gained in just 3 months time. Mr E, and his staff are such an inspiration!

If you’re looking for somewhere for your kids to start learning martial arts, 5 Star is the place to go in the Tri-City area! Coach E, Coach Jordan and Coach Joe are all phenomenal leaders and work very well with all of the kids! Extremely thankful for this team and the skills they have taught my son!

Very professional. There are no free rides in that you have to earn your belt promotions. Mr. Ewell and his black belts are extremely friendly, helpful and encouraging. I trust them with my son and have for quite some time.
Mr. E. will always have my gratitude for the absolute blessing he has been in Matthew's life. Matt is on the spectrum, and while he is tolerated in other social settings, he is accepted at Kickstars as part of a team. It's an important distinction. Mr. E. cares more about character and values than trophies, but still sets high standards for his students to EARN advancement. Mr. Carter is a true World Champion Martial Artist. His passion for the art is only surpassed by his dedication to the education of his students. Mr.Carters students ages range from Pre-K to those in the advanced years as well as those with disabilities. I have been tought in schools from Alabama to Colonial Heights and I've never met a more sincere individual in my life. Mr.Ewell Carter will not settle for nothing less than perfection. My daughter Who had been tought by her older sisters to be disrespectful has learned to respect herself and others thanks to Mr Carter and her karate is better than mine ever was. This is not a buy a belt school as most others found in V.A. but a real first class World Champion dojo so if you want to be the best you can be look no further this is it.
Absolutely the best place for martial arts in the area. My son loves it and I love how confident he has become since joining. 10 for 10 would recommend.
