I've had the pleasure of training at Professor Scott's Jiu Jitsu academy when I visit Wisconsin, and I can't say enough good things about it. There’s a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great place for people of all ages and experience levels. Professor Scott is extremely passionate, approachable, and genuinely cares about the success of his students. He’s created an environment where everyone feels supported and challenged, whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, interested in competing or not. I currently train at an excellent gym in Colorado and have visited a few others, so I can confidently say that Professor Scott’s instruction, along with his talented black belts, is among the best in Wisconsin and across the country. The quality of training partners here is also top-notch—everyone brings a respectful and positive attitude to each roll. For anyone who's had negative experiences at other gyms, rest assured you won't find bad attitudes here. 360 Jiu Jitsu will always feel like my home gym when I’m in the area, and I encourage others to stop by and experience it themselves!
Can’t say enough good things about 360! I was pretty nervous to start jiujitsu in my 30s given that I have no martial arts experience. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and encouraging. Scott is an amazing teacher who clearly knows and cares so much about jiujitsu—he’s able to break techniques down and teach the small details that make the difference. I’ve also learned so much from the other instructors and the other members who are always so gracious sharing their time and knowledge. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone who is even a little bit curious about jiujitsu but maybe has been too nervous to try—the mental discipline, spatial awareness, and confidence I’ve gained already has been so worth it.
My son has trained here for over 2 years…I have noticed improvement in his spatial skills among other good attributes, mainly from the camaraderie and strong instruction. My son has gained not only teammates, but friends off the mat. I was looking for way to be closer to my son and not to coddle him, this was the Best thing I could have ever done for him to develop humility and focus. Truly recommend for any young child who needs strong peers. All the instructors have a keen sense to teach. Truly has changed our lives. Update- Nearing the 3 year mark on training with 360 BBJ. I have asked my son from time to time, checking his volition, the response is overwhelmingly the same. Despite not adventuring to compete like many of the other children in his program, he wants to continue this path for self-defense. These programs offered are two-fold in nature. Self-defense and sport. Every child can benefit from either one. Very Thankful as a parent to have my son enrolled through the years, it has been a lovely pursuit to watch. Truly
My son started w/ Coach Scott at age six. It was the only physical activity/ sport that he actually loved and continued through out middle and high school. I think that had a lot to do with Coach and his team and the atmosphere of the academy. I have and would definitely recommend this academy if looking for a nice, clean and welcoming atmosphere to train.
As a brazilian who tried other great academies in Brazil, I highly recommend 360 BJJ. The detailed level of technique provided by Scott and all coaches is a big differential. And it also feels like a community. Just amazing!
My daughter is 10 and has been training & learning at 360 for 5 years. The classes have always been very structured & comprehensive. The coaches are supportive and genuinely care about the progress of the students. Coach Scott’s teaching style is meticulously technical, which ultimately is the building blocks needed to be a great martial artist and have the life-long knowledge & love of Jiujitsu. A lot of our kids compete regularly, and those skills show and are superior on the mats. Because Scott has built a very strong team, our kids are teammates and friends. Our families are close and support each other, 360 has always felt more like a family- very humble & supportive. All classes, whether children or adults are led by knowledgeable, hardworking coaches. 360 has created an environment of confidence, discipline and respect for my child. I also want to note that the gym is super clean and taken care of (because this matters- a lot!) I would highly recommend this gym/family to anyone who is looking to start or continue on their BJJ journey.
I have always been someone who likes to know why we do the things we do. The coaches at both locations are awesome with explaining the details and the why behind it all. Very friendly welcoming community of people. Everyone really comes together to help each other grow and be better each day.
I have been training BJJ for 10 years now, and have called 360 my home gym for almost two years. The culture here is exactly what I had been looking for. Ego is low, skill is high, and it's evident that most genuinely care about your growth and health. Professor Scott is top-notch. He is very detailed, and teaches from his extensive competitive and training experience. I am proud to call 360 my home gym. It is a gem. I would wholeheartedly recommend checking it out.
I joined 360 Jiu Jitsu looking for a competitive grappling sport, not knowing anything about jiu jitsu at the time. Over the last year and half, I learned so much and have developed my own skillset from world class instructors and teammates. They have fully welcomed me into this amazing jiu jitsu community. I’ve never been around so many supportive people in one place. We have become a family, we train hard, push each other to greatness, laugh together and even cry together. I love competing with this team. Everyone’s loyalty and dedication are truly unique. How many other schools have a head coach who is a world class champion black belt who takes the time with all levels, even the very beginners and kids. Scott’s patience, passion and love for the sport radiates through his instruction, attention to detail and relationships with all the 360 members and families. There is no other school that could ever compare to what we have at 360!
A year ago, I became a part of 360. On my first day, I stepped in feeling nervous, unsure of what lay ahead. However, to my delight, I was greeted with warmth and openness by everyone. Scott, our coach, has been exceptional. Reflecting on my journey thus far, I can confidently say that joining the 360 team was one of the best decisions I've made.
Top notch instruction, great workout, good people and very clean!
I have been training at 360 jiujitsu academy for over two years and I highly recommend it. I used to train Jiujitsu in St Louis, and when I moved back to Wisconsin, 360 was recommended to me by my coach there (a former UFC fighter and accomplished BJJ competitor) as “the place” to train in Wisconsin. He wasn’t wrong. The quality of instruction is easily one of the best in the state. It also has an awesome culture— the focus is on technical, intelligent, clean jiujitsu-- I am always challenged to improve, but I have never felt unsafe. “Meat head” jiujitsu (prioritizing strength and winning at all costs) is actively discouraged. Instead, we are trained to out-think and out-maneuver our opponents, using disciplined application of technique. We are like one big team. It’s a family friendly environment. The kids and teens program is excellent. There is also a competitive lane for those interested (all ages, genders, sizes), which is a great way to test ones skills and gain confidence. At this moment, there is no separate women’s class, though there has been in the past and will likely be in the future. Either way, we have a great group of adult & masters women who attend all the classes based on what our crazy schedules allow (some of us are actively competing, others are not), and there are a bunch of teen women and girls who are currently doing awesome at competitions. We support each other to improve and have been having a lot of fun growing together in all aspects of jiujitsu. The Coaches 360’s coaches are not really into self-promotion. I don’t even know if all of their accomplishments have been listed on the website. Coach Scott, who is the owner/founder, just won a world championship medal at blackbelt in 2022, beating out other extremely skilled opponents from around the globe. He also has coached a lot of well-known MMA fighters. I have watched guys who moved out of state for their MMA careers come back to Scott, explaining that they wanted to receive their jiujitsu promotions only from him because of how much they respect him. Our other coaches… Joe, Mike, Steve… the list continues. They are accomplished in JiuJitsu as well (lots of hardware and titles). Though their personalities differ, in my experience, they possess these similar qualities: very technical (quality of jiujitsu is there), well-intentioned human beings who take their roles seriously and want the best for their students. Final Note One of the things I enjoy about Jiujitsu is the larger Jiujitsu community— I’ve had the chance to drop in at a lot of other gyms, whether to try out my moves on new people and get in some cross-training, or because I was traveling for work and was hungering for a jiujitsu work out. I have found that 360 is known and respected to many. We’ve had team members go out to seminars or train at gyms out of state and come back and share what they’ve learned, which contributes to our learning environment overall. Jiujitsu is a martial art, and it can be intense. It isn’t for everyone. But if you’re into jiujitsu or think you’re interested, and you’re looking for any of the qualities I mentioned, you should come check out 360.
Coach Scott has created an unique training facility. All of the instructors are dedicated and care. Our 6 year old twins were able to learn in a small environment where Coach Justin and Coach Kam focused on technique and life skills like listening and follow through. We recently moved out of state and miss this crew seeing other gyms are no where near this dedicated and talented with focus on small group to learn technique.
Dropped in from out of town and had a great experience in terms of how lessons are organized and how people at the gym roll. The lesson stays on a topic and build upon the same topic. The instructor welcomes questions and answers them well showing how things work visually too. People aren't trying to take your head off during the rolls and provide opportunities to try/understand techniques rather than focusing on winning a roll.
We have been part of this gym for almost four years. We have crossed so many hurdles as a family and this gym and coaches have never faltered once. The coaches and the teammates understand loyalty and commitment, from youth to adult our family has learned and gained so much being part of such an incredible club. This place has given us so much more than we ever expected.
My 16 year old Daughter and I joined the 360 team back in January and by May I medaled in my first tournament with only 1 stripe. I credit that purely to Scott's training. We've both had an amazing experience. The gym is very diverse and welcoming. Scott has an unmatched amount of patience, but really knows when to turn up the heat and drive us to the next level. The 360 team members couldn't be more welcoming. It's made up of athletes at all levels and there is always someone willing to roll and match your pace to help you grow. There is no other gym I would recommend more!
Whether you’re an adult or looking for your kids the coaches at 360 care and give a very welcoming experience. My daughter joined in September 2021 and was immediately hooked. I recommend this place to everyone and will go to bat for Scott Huston 360.
My husband and son have had a great experience training at 360. Scott runs a high quality academy with passionate, engaged coaches. We highly recommend to anyone looking to start or continue BJJ.
Our 8 year-old started Jiu jitsu at 360 a little over a year ago, and we're impressed with his progress in such a short amount of time. He has gained a lot of confidence, and I love how the kids will stop to help their partners with their form while practicing moves with each other--it provides them opportunities to be leaders. Scott and all of the coaches have been amazing and we're so happy we found this gym.
My 5 y.o. son has been attending 360 for six months. He has had nothing but good experiences. The coaches, facility, and the other students are all great. Highly recommend!
Best gym in Milwaukee! A lot of the members are high level competitors and the coach, Scott Houstan, is still training and winning medals in black belt competitions. Great gym to be a part of.
My first day at 360 BJJ was the first time I'd worn a gi. While it's the only place my 6 year old or I have trained and I can't compare it to other schools for you, I can tell you it'll get you hooked if you're just starting out. The people are great, the facility is top notch, and Scott is an excellent teacher. My daughter's coaches are all skilled and attentive, and she loves every second of it. Now if I can just get my wife to join...
All of my 4 kids practiced with coach Scott. He's like their life coach. Would encourage all parents to sign their kids up. Big positive impact on my kids academic and social. Middle and high schoolers play sports at school too (football, soccer, & LaCrosse)
Awesome experience at 360 jiu jitsu! Extremely welcoming atmosphere for both experienced practitioners and newcomers. Facility was very clean and complete with a large mat space. Scott is a very professional, enthusiastic, and highly knowledgeable instructor. Quality gym and quality jiu jitsu! Can’t wait to come back. Very excited for 360 Brookfield!!
I Highly recommend this for your kids! The teachers are dedicated and well knowledged. havnt been able to find any other place that’s comparable!
Excellent instruction, great atmosphere, family and competition oriented.
People at every point on the spectrum, from kids to hobbyists, to casual competitors to world class competitors can find what they need at 360. Over 11 years Coach Scott has grown a culture where the rising tide lifts all boats. The instruction at all levels is detailed, clear, and professional, the atmosphere is friendly, and for those that want it, the training is intense and competitive. But at the end of the day, everyone is met where they are at.
Only trained here a couple times but it is clear Scott Huston has developed not only a strong competition team but also fostered a welcoming environment for beginners. The space is amazing and everyone was super friendly. I really appreciate the bjj gym that strikes the perfect balance of formality and being laid back.
Coach Scott has welcomed me into the group and made sure I understand everything he is teaching. The higher belts are also very welcoming. Overall after being to other gyms, this is also the cleanest gym I have been to.
I'd give it 10 stars if there were that many available. I've had 4 grandkids in Scott's school. My oldest, 12, has been training 7 years and he won't miss a class. I can't say enough about what they get from it; community, discipline and of course, self defense training in Jujitsu. Having been in Kenpo Karate for 12 years in my 20's-30's I can tell you I wish I could go back and study Jujitsu. As someone who has seen both disciplines, Jujitsu is unquestionably the better self defense style.
Best Jiu-jitsu Academy hands down! Coach Scott is a masterful technician with an ability to teach technique and make everyone feel at home!
360 is an amazing place to train. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, the facility is as clean as it gets, the classes are informative and fun, and the talent is top-notch. Scott is an excellent coach who clearly has a deep passion for teaching jiu-jitsu and dedication to helping his students develop their skills. Whether you're a clueless beginner totally new to jiu-jitsu, or a seasoned veteran looking to continue honing your skills against some of the best, look no further than 360!
top notch instructor and school. Awesome place to learn bjj and world class students to train with.
My two sons and I have been training at 360 BJJ for just over 6 months and we love it! It's such a great place to train. Scott and his assistant coaches are patient, encouraging, and they know their stuff. Scott has managed to create a family-friendly, inviting, yet competitive environment that inspires you to be better than you were yesterday.
If you're looking for super high quality BJJ instruction in the Milwaukee/Wauwatosa area, you should definitely check out 360. Scott & his coaches are exceptional martial artists and teachers. Some things that I really like about the gym: 1.) well-organized and detailed lessons that cover both fundamentals & more modern techniques in jiu-jitsu, 2.) a good team atmosphere and awesome/respectful training partners, 3.) a big, beautiful, and CLEAN gym space. Another really nice thing about this gym is the adult class schedule for BJJ: there are 2-3 adult classes offered every weekday, so it's relatively easy to fit classes into a busy work/life schedule.
Outstanding instructing staff who are very detailed and take the time to assist you to understand the instruction thoroughly. Highly recommend for all level and ages.
It's an honor and a blessing for me to be apart of this academy. From the facility, the students, and the coaches, it's all around a world class academy.
Very high quality instruction at a gorgeous academy with a welcoming atmosphere and great training partners at an affordable price. You really couldn't ask for more from a BJJ academy.
As a female in the BJJ world it's hard to find a place that you feel comfortable training at. Not only is Scott Huston a phenomenal instructor but the environment he's created at 360 feels more like a family rather than a gym. You can trust that your skills will be pushed and you will learn clean technical jiu jitsu. This gym is amazing for all skill levels. Definitely come out and train!
Great place! Great People! Scott Huston has the best technically sound Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction with a focus on the details. I highly recommend 360 Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu to anyone interested!
From the start Scott and all the students at 360 have been extremely accepting. The technique and style Scott teaches has been fun and extremely informative! would recommend to anyone interested in trying BJJ either as a newbie or experienced practitioner!
360 BJJ has by far the most experienced practitioners in the area with instruction second to none. The club caters to everyone from the recreational enthusiast looking for a new hobby to enjoy while working up a sweat, to the die-hard competitor looking to take home a national title. 360 BJJ is directly responsible for my success on the national Judo circuit as the vastly expanded my lacking ground game. I strongly urge anyone be it a complete novice or a BJJ, MMA, Judo, or Wrestling veteran to take some time and check out what 360 BJJ has to offer.
I have been with the Academy just over a year. I am a bit older (well quite a bit older) than the other students and before Scott took me on he really wanted to be sure that this was right for me. This is typical of the way Scott looks at all of his students. He is not simply interested in just taking on students to increase membership. The comradery at the school is terrific. I strongly recommend for all ages.
My seven year old son and I have been training at 360 for nearly two years. It is a very family friendly environment in a wonderful, large, and new space. Very high quality mats and training area. Coach Scott and all the other coaches do an excellent job explaining techniques to both adults and children. I recommend 360 to my friends and family who express interest in the gentle art.
A great place for kids bjj - my son's skills have grown tremendously since we came to 360. The addition of Judo instruction to the program is awesome! And the instructors are top notch!
I've been to a lot of Martial Arts schools in my history of studying different styles and 360 is definitely one of the best places I've ever come across. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time under the instruction here. The variety of styles and techniques that you get from all the instructors here are sure to help you in any Martial Arts training you are looking to receive.
I'm extremely happy with 360 BJJ. Excellent kids program that builds self-confidence & self-esteem. When it comes to reinforcing discipline, Scott will definitely help out when needed. This has been very helpful, because being a single mother trying to raise a man in today's society is not easy!
I was incredibly apprehensive about getting into a sport that was as male dominated as BJJ but EVERY SINGLE PERSON that you come in contact with this school is wonderful! As a woman BJJ is the smartest self defense that you can learn and it is amazing for stress reduction as it works your mind just as much as your body. I can't recommend this school enough to everyone who will listen!!! The instructors explain things in a way that everyone can understand and you can tell that whether it be an instructor or a higher belt that you may be working with on that day, everyone cares about each other at this school. It's pretty awesome!!!
Ju-Jitsu with Scott and the team at 360 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy has been great for our son and family. Well run, professional classes in a nice and extremely clean facility that teaches the basics of sportsmanship and self defense with and emphasis on team work and self-respect.
The discipline it has taught the kids and the level of excellence of its team = awesome!
Wonderful coaches and environment..my kids love this place because they love their wonderful coach, we appreciate all the hard works with kids, Thank you sooo much Scott Huston.
We've been here for about two years now and fron the first day it is apparent Scott truly loves BJJ but also cares and knows the members as well.
Great location, really good atmosphere for beginners and kids. Instructors are very passionate about the sport and welcome people from all walks of life.
Outstanding kids program that had made an incredible difference with my 7 year old son. Scott and his instructors are fantastic and truly care about the kids.
Technical jiu jitsu, family friendly environment, excellent competion results, great team atmosphere. Scott Huston is a world class teacher and coach and a very accomplished competitor himself. I would recommend to anyone.
Love Scott Huston and Brazilian JiuJitsu 360! Correction: my SON loves this place. Scott and team are always are prepared and keep my son engaged each week. Our first time venturing into martial arts. Glad we chose this place.
Awesome place to train with an amazing coach. Also, has a top notch kids program that I'm proud to say my children are happily a part of. Very comfortable environment, with a fun yet discipline atmosphere for all levels to take part in. Second to none, this is the premier BJJ academy in the state!!
Having just moved to the Milwaukee area I was searching for a new gym/home. Fortunately, my fiancé and I heard about 360 BJJ via some students of Scott's. This academy is absolutely for everyone at every stage. Families/kids/adults /competition teams you name it. The gym is littered with national Champs at almost every level, even the occasional MMA champ(s). Highly, highly recommend this academy.
The entire arsenal of coaches at 360 BJJ are amazing! Lead by Scott Huston, they have an amazing way with all of the students young and old. The values they teach, especially for the kids, are helping create a better generation. On top of that the new facility is top notch!
I recently got back into BJJ and gave 360 a try (based on all the positive things I had heard from others about Scott). I knew right away it was the perfect fit. Scott is a super nice and welcoming guy - as is everyone who trains at 360. There are no egos and everyone is there to learn/develope themselves - but also to help others develope in the process. The gym is top notch. Super clean, very nice mats/locker rooms. I couldn't be happier training with Scott at 360. Highly recommended.
Excellent kids program. If you’re interested in building up your child’s confidence and reinforcing positive values and good character, this is your place.
Amazing place to train! Incredibly welcoming atmosphere and top notch instruction! Not uncommon to see jiu-jitsu and MMA champions on the mat as well!
Excellent technical instruction combined with a warm open and friendly team environment. Best BJJ Academy in Wisconsin. Come train with us today.
After moving from Chicago to the Milwaukee area due to a job relocation, I was eager to find a jiu jitsu school to continue my training. I had previously trained at Ralph Gracie Chicago under the guidance of Professor Misho Ceko, and had a great experience. Misho gave me my blue belt before I moved, so I was excited to continue my progression. At the recommendation of one of my former training partners, I checked out Scott's gym. Immediately, I was impressed. Scott is a great guy and a very technical jiu jitsu instructor. It’s evident by the numerous colored belts in the gym and the medals they’ve won that his style and teachings work. I look forward to continuing my training under Scott’s guidance along with all the great training partners I’ve met.
By the time November of 2011 had come around I had finally decided that I was going to join some sort of grappling academy. I had wrestled in High School and my 6 year old son was joining our local wrestling club, I was asked to volunteer and help coach a bit. Although I hadn’t been on the mat for a while, I played county league baseball for a decade and thought despite my beer/doughnut gut I was in pretty good shape. After inquiring in a number of different areas Scott Huston and 360 BJJ consistently kept coming up. So, my plan was to jump in with all I had and become the “guy” that figured out how to combine BJJ and wrestling. I was going to be the pioneer. “A few classes of this BJJ stuff” and I’ll have a world of knowledge for these kids at the club. Well, that never happened. What did happen? I joined a team, fell in love with BJJ, and I can honestly say that my life has not been the same since. I dropped 25 lbs. and have consistently kept it off. My relationships with family and friends have improved. My diet, what I put into my body, and when I do it, have all been modified. I have become both more humble and confident at the same time. I’m a better salesperson, a better writer, my ability to focus; to stay on task is sharper. Two years in my only regret is not picking this up sooner. I can’t imagine how different my life would be if I had discovered BJJ in my teens, or twenties. But I can only look back for a few seconds; the future in this game has too much potential for satisfaction, for accomplishment, for growth. Scott and the rest of the people at the academy have created an atmosphere where learning and understanding are of the utmost importance. As family friendly as any school yard playground, there is respect for all ages, levels of experience, genders, races, and religions. Although it took time and work to prove myself, I was never made fun of, intentionally hurt, or hazed in any way shape or form. People with the sole purpose of being the toughest guy on the block need not come. Oh, there are absolute destroyers here, no doubt. But the goal is to learn, to get better, and to become a well-rounded human being through BJJ and Scott’s approach. Not to beat people up. It’s hard, it’s difficult, I’m awful sore from time to time, but I wouldn’t trade that pain for the world. It means I am improving…in many more ways than just on the mat. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to train with Scott and everyone at 360. Oh…and the kids at the wrestling club? We’re still there. But I tell each one of them….”Learn how to fight off your back kid, it’s much more fun.”
Anyone out there that has ever had a thought about training in BJJ should definitely give Scott Huston’s 360 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a try. I did not start in this martial art until I was 45, so needless to say I was a bit nervous since the majority of the students are younger than me. Not once have I felt like I was unwelcome there. Scott always makes reference to his students being his “Extended Family”, and I truly believe that he feels this way. The level of grappling skills at this school is second to none, and this directly reflects on the skill level of Scott Huston. When teaching techniques he always makes sure to stress that smallest of details since many times this can have an impact on if the move will be executed properly. If you are looking for a school that quickly puts you through the belt ranks then this might not be the right choice for you. Scott does not just promote students for no reason, he knows the skill levels of all of his students and promotes when he feels you are ready. Now, 2 ½ years later I have just been promoted to my blue belt and look forward to many more years of grappling at 360.
I have prior held membership at four different Jiu-Jitsu academies in the Milwaukee area before having navigated my way over to 360 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This maneuvering around has given me a broad perspective range and outlook on the nature of the art and its variety of instruction. Each instructor thus far has had their own unique style, but at 360, with its strong systematic structure, emphasis on detail, alongside great training partners, I have been able to improved my Jiu-Jitsu at the most astonishing pace. The training here has given me the confidence to move on from only competing locally, to going out and winning internationally ranked tournaments multiple times. The instructor Scott Huston, is one of those rare Martial Arts teachers who lives/breaths Martial Arts. Following Martial Art philosophy, while at the same time having had been enlisted 8 years in the Marine Corps, gives Scott Huston that specific quality of leadership, enthusiasm, and intensity (in his case also accompanied with fun humor) which breeds champions at the biggest stages of BJJ on a regular basis. The results here speak for themselves. It is my pleasure to be part of the 360 family and I am grateful to have finally found a home for my Jiu-Jitsu.
