Weston-super-Mare is a regular stop on the South West grappling calendar. Pro Sport Grappling runs the long-running Somerset Open series here, and Tanto Submission Grappling and the RTBJJ Inter-Club Championship of the World have also been held in the town.
Around half of events offer Gi divisions and around half No-Gi, with submission-only rules used at some events. Kids divisions are uncommon, and around a quarter of events include an absolute. September is the busiest month, followed by October and May.
