Southampton has a regular BJJ competition calendar, with most events held in the city and others in nearby Salisbury and Portsmouth.
The Neon BJJ Open is the most frequent BJJ competition, offering both Gi and No-Gi divisions. All Stars BJJ Southampton returns regularly, and the Solent BJJ Open, the Salisbury Open and the Grapplers Challenge Invitational have also been held in the area.
Most BJJ events here run both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and some include kids divisions and absolutes. Round-robin brackets and IBJJF rules both appear. May and November are the busiest months for BJJ tournaments.
