Oregon's BJJ events are spread along the Willamette Valley. Salem and Lake Oswego host the most, followed by Eugene and Clackamas, and Portland hosts several recurring opens.
Grappling Industries Portland is the most frequent event, and other recurring competitions include the Oregon Open Jiu Jitsu Championship, the Ground Warrior Submission Challenge, Grappling X's Oregon State Jiu Jitsu Championships, the AGF Eugene Championships, the Combat Sports Report Invitational in Portland, Sub League Opens and WSOJJ Portland.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered equally, and roughly three in ten events run kids divisions. Adult entry fees range widely, from around $10 at smaller events to about $155 at larger championships. November is the busiest month, followed by October and March.
