Missouri's BJJ tournaments are concentrated around Kansas City, with Springfield, the St. Louis area, Columbia and Jefferson City also hosting regular events.
FUJI BJJ runs several events a year, including the Springfield Fall Open and the Kansas City Jiu-Jitsu Expo. Summit Grappling Series holds its Kansas City Open and Trials, and NAGA, the American Grappling Federation, Submission Challenge and NEWBREED also visit the state.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are both widely available, and around a third of events offer kids divisions. Adult entry fees vary widely, from around $20 for local events to over $100 for the bigger national circuits. October and November are the busiest months outside the winter season.
