Celebrating Our 50th Anniversary 

The 50th Annual Fall Classic is finally here! TFC50 is Classic Combat’s signature event, proudly presented by The Wheeler Academy. As we celebrate this historic milestone, we’re excited to honor our rich tradition of this tournament by bringing back point-fighting (ie. point karate) divisions alongside the action you’ve come to expect. We hope you’ll join us for this momentous occasion as we celebrate 50 years of competition, community, and martial arts excellence.

All spectators ages five & up need to purchase a wristband to enter.

  • Pay at the door (cash or card) or during online registration.

  • Refund requests before September 1 will receive a voucher for next year’s tournament.
  • If a competitor is alone in their bracket and cannot be moved to a suitable division, a full refund will be issued.
  • No refunds or vouchers for adult fighters who miss weight.

Divisions

  • Kickboxing$75
    A semi-contact, no-knockout sparring match that emphasizes skill, control, technique, and athlete safety in a continuous sparring format. This division is designed exclusively for amateur competitors. 
  • Point Fighting$75
    A karate kickboxing style match where two competitors fight with the primary goal of scoring defined points, using well-controlled legal techniques with speed, agility, balance, and focus.
  • Gi Grappling$75
    A submission-based grappling match conducted in the traditional gi that rewards submission attempts and positional dominance. 
  • No-Gi Grappling$75
    A submission-based grappling match conducted in a rashguard and shorts that rewards submission attempts and positional dominance. 
  • Kids Wrestle To Mount$75
    A kids' grappling match without submissions, where the competitor must grapple to the mount and hold the position for three seconds. Designed for beginners and those with little grappling experience. Kids may wear gi or no gi. 
  • Absolute: Kickboxing$25
    Test your skills against the best of the best in this single elimination bracket! All winners receive special tournament awards, free entry to next year, and a potential cash payout.
  • Absolute: Point Fighting$25
    Test your skills against the best of the best in this single elimination bracket! All winners receive special tournament awards, free entry to next year, and a potential cash payout.
  • Absolute: No Gi Grappling$25
