The Sunninghill Gi Open is back — and it’s OPEN TO ALL!

Finish off your 2026 competition season in style at this exciting IBJJF rules-based tournament hosted at QuanWessels Sunninghill. Whether it’s your first time stepping onto the mats or you’re a seasoned competitor preparing for future competitions, this event offers the perfect opportunity to test your skills, gain experience, and challenge yourself in a safe, professional environment.

Cash prizes will be awarded to all gold medalists.

This competition is designed to help athletes of all levels grow through competition, learn under pressure, and enjoy the experience of testing themselves on the mats. We strongly encourage first-time competitors to enter, as this is one of the best and safest ways to gain valuable tournament experience.

💰 Registration Fees

Early Bird Registration (Ends Monday, 5 October): R200
Regular Registration (From 6 October): R300
Late Registration (From 19 October): R400

Registration closes Thursday, 22 October at 23:59.

📌 Important Competition Information

Weigh-ins close: 08:30am (Kids may weigh in during the week of the event. Missed weights will result in disqualification.)

Kids Rules Briefing & Warm-Up: 08:45am – 09:00am Kids Divisions Start: 09:15am
Adult Divisions Start: Immediately after the kids divisions conclude

Weigh-ins will take place in the common area of the Oleilu Restaurant at Moove.

Please note: No food or drinks are permitted inside QuanWessels, except water in sealed water bottles.
