The NZBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship (Gi & No-Gi) – 4th  Edition – proudly welcomes kids, teenagers, and juveniles of all belt levels to compete in a safe, fair, and exciting environment.

NZBJJF Membership Requirement

All competitors must hold a current NZBJJF membership to participate in any NZBJJF nationwide event.

Age Calculation (IBJJF Standard)

Competitor ages are calculated based on their year of birth (current year – year of birth), aligned with IBJJF rules.➡️ Example: An athlete born on 12/09/2013 will compete in the 13-year-old division for the 2025 season.More details: IBJJF Rules

Competition Rules

• All matches will follow IBJJF rules (Gi & No-Gi).
• Competitors must be familiar with uniform and weigh-in requirements.

Weight Divisions

• Weight categories are listed in Smoothcomp.
• Each category shows net weight and the gross allowance with Gi or No-Gi uniform.Example: 79kg (82.3kg) Gi Division = net weight under 79kg, gross weight (with Gi) under 82.3kg.
• Example: 79kg (82.3kg) Gi Division = net weight under 79kg, gross weight (with Gi) under 82.3kg.

Checking Day

• The day after registration closes, athletes must check their entry to confirm division and opponents.
• During this time, competitors may:
• ✅ Edit their entry
• ✅ Request a refund (via Smoothcomp)
• After Checking Day, entries are final and non-refundable.

Refund Policy

• Cancellations before registration closes: 90% refund.
• During Checking Day: partial refund available.
• After Checking Day: no refunds.

Discount till 11th Oct.

• Early-Bird Discount: Reduced entry fee during the early-bird window.
• Two-Division Discount: Register for both Gi and No-Gi to receive a special discount.

Important Notice for Parents & Caregivers

🚨 Please ensure your child is entered in the correct weight division.

• Any child who does not make their registered weight will be disqualified.
• No division changes will be allowed on the day.
• No refunds for failed weigh-ins.

⏰ Check-in & Weigh-ins: From 8:30am

⏰ Event Start: 9:30am (all day – Gi & No-Gi, all belts)

📍 Venue: Feilding Civic Centre, Manawatū

💰 SPECTATOR FEES:

• Adults and Teens (13+): $8 
• Children (7–12): $5
• Under 7: Free
• 🆓 Black Belts and Coaches with active NZBJJF or IBJJF membership enter free.
