Description
Get ready for an exciting day of grappling at the Hawkesbury Cup Spring Challenge 2025!
This in-house competition is exclusively for Hawkesbury BJJ members, featuring a thrilling round robin format.
Open to kids aged 4 to 12 years in white and grey belts, this is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills and sportsmanship. In addition to the kids’ divisions, we will also be running adults divisions and a fun kids sumo division! Children are welcome to enter both the BJJ and Sumo events.
This will be a NO GI competition. Competitors must wear their no gi uniform. If a competitor does not have a ranked rash guard (meaning a rash guard that reflects their belt colour), they must wear their belt and will be weighed in it.
All divisions will follow a round robin format. We endeavour to give every child a minimum of two matches; however, if another competitor pulls out or fails to make weight, some children may only receive one match.
Divisions will not be changed by the organisers. If your child does not have a competitor in their division, you will have three options:
- Cancel and receive a refund (before 10am, September 19)
- Move your child up a weight division (before 10am, September 19)
- Do nothing, in which case your child will win by walkover and receive a gold medal
