Division 1 is open to experienced or established grappling competitors with a couple years of competition experience. It uses full competition rules.

Division 2 is for newer wrestlers or grapplers and is designed to provide fair matchups for a first wrestling competition. It is open to wrestling athletes with less than 1 year of wrestling training and grapplers from Judo, BJJ, and MMA who want to test their wrestling skills.

Q: How do competitors register?

Wrestlers, or an adult on their behalf if the wrestler is under 18, must register via Smoothcomp.

Q: When is early bird and normal registration?

Early Bird Registration opens 24 August at 8:00am and gives $20 off the registration fee. Normal Registration runs from 7 Sept (Monday) until 11:59pm on 04 Oct (Sunday).

Q: Is late registration available?

Late entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on Tuesday 13 Oct 2026 with a late fee of $25 added to each order. No registrations can be accepted after Late Registration closes.

Q: What memberships are required to compete?

Competitors must be current members of WWA or their State Wrestling body and WAL. WAL membership is included in WWA membership fees, and membership fees should be paid online.

Q: How are age divisions determined?

Age submissions are based on Year of Birth, meaning the age the wrestler turns in the calendar year, not the age at the time of the competition.

DIVISION 2 (D2)

Been wrestling / grappling for a while, and want to test your new wrestling skills on the mat? D2 is for you!

Designed to give new wrestlers / grapplers fair, even matchups, Division 2 is a safe environment for a first wrestling competition.

Who Can Enter?

Wrestling athletes with less than 1 year of wrestling training.
Grapplers from other grappling arts such as Judo, BJJ, and MMA who are keen to test their wrestling skills in competition.

WEIGHT CLASSES

Wrestlers must weigh in exactly on or under their nominated category weight. Wrestlers can change their nominated weight category after registering, up to the final registration date and time by using their profile on Smoothcomp.

Please ensure that you enter the correct weight categories with registration for the comp as confirmed with your coach. No shifting of category or late entry will be considered on the day of the competition. If a wrestler does not make weight he/she will forfeit their matches and may only be allowed exhibition matches if available.

REGISTRATION

Wrestlers (or an adult their behalf where the wrestler is a <18 yrs old) must register via Smoothcomp.

Early Bird Registration will open 24 August 8:00am - Register early for a $20 off the registration fee!

Normal Registration will run from 7 Sept (Monday) till 11:59pm on 04 Oct (Sunday).

Competitors must be a current member of WWA (or their State Wrestling body) and WAL. New membership applications or membership renewals can be done online at revolutionise.com.au/wwa/registration

Age submissions are to be based on the Year of Birth (i.e., turning the denoted age in this calendar year), and not the age at the time of the competition

Late Registration

Late Registration Deadline: Late entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on Tuesday 13 Oct 2026 with a late fee of $25 added to each order.

**No registrations can be accepted after Late Registration closes**

All competitors must be current WAL members and a member of their relevant State Assosciation. WAL membership is included in WWA membership fees.

Weigh-In

Wrestlers must weigh in exactly on or under their nominated category weight. Nominated weight category may be changed after registering up to the final registration date/time via the athlete's Smoothcomp profile. Failure to make weight results in forfeiture of matches; exhibition matches may be allowed if available.
