I have attended self-defence classes for women, and I highly recommend them. Anahita is very professional and teaches you how to stand up for yourself while ensuring you feel safe. The atmosphere at the club is very family-like. I cannot recommend it enough!
Update to the review since they moved to Euston. What I wrote still holds - amazing place, knowledgeable and inspiring instructor and friendliest bunch you will ever meet!
I started my BJJ journey at the tender age of 47 and I couldn’t think of a better place to train and improve not only my jiu jitsu but the overall quality of my life; I’ve made life long friends, improved how I deal with life’s pressures and got fitter to boot.
If you’re thinking of giving it a try, don’t hesitate - drop in and have a taster class and see your life change for the better.
I dropped in while being on holiday in London and it was absolutely awesome! The coach was very knowledgeable and exact with the more experienced grapplers and very patient with the newer ones. The place is very clean and I instantly felt welcomed. Would definitely train here if I lived in London!
Our son has been training here for the past 9 months, and he still looks forward to every class.
The progress we’ve seen goes far beyond learning Jiu-Jitsu. His coordination and body control have improved, his reactions are quicker, and, most importantly, he has become much more focused and resilient. Instead of giving up when something is difficult, he keeps practising because he has learned that progress comes from “practice, practice, practice”. To us, that’s one of the greatest values of Jiu-Jitsu.
Everyone at the club is warm, patient, and genuinely encouraging. Before and after class, our son often stays to chat and play with the professors and staff, and they always make time for him. Those small interactions have helped him become much more confident communicating with others and have made the club feel like a place where he truly belongs.
A special thank you to the two professors. They work seamlessly together, keep the classes engaging, and know exactly how to balance learning with fun. They also pay attention to each child’s personality, emotions, and confidence, offering encouragement when it’s needed most. As parents, that gives us complete confidence.
When Yibo first started, he was shy, cautious, and lacked confidence. Now he is happy to put himself forward, isn’t afraid of making mistakes, bounces back from setbacks, and has made some lovely friends along the way.
We’re incredibly grateful to the whole team for creating such a positive and supportive environment where children don’t just learn Jiu-Jitsu—they grow in confidence, resilience, and character.
Roger Gracie Euston is a fantastic gym and I can’t recommend it enough. The facilities are impeccable; always clean, well-maintained, and exactly what you’d expect from a world-class academy.
The quality of coaching is what really sets it apart. Head coach Prof. Juniao brings exceptional knowledge and technical detail to every session, and Sergiu and Uyi are equally brilliant — both consistently delivering instruction that helps students at every level improve their game.
The culture at Roger Gracie Euston is also very special. It’s a genuinely welcoming environment where you quickly feel part of a community.
Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, this is definitely the place to be.
I can’t recommend Roger Gracie Euston BJJ enough. I started training here at the age of 43, and it has genuinely changed my life. Since joining, I’ve been coming almost every day, and it has helped me manage the stress of my demanding job as an architect. Training has become the perfect way to balance work and improve both my physical and mental wellbeing.
What makes this club truly special is the family atmosphere. My two children, aged 8 and 5, train here four times a week after school and every Saturday, and they absolutely love it. They even became Roger Gracie members at a seminar, which was a proud moment for our family.
A special thank you to Professor Juniao and the fantastic team of coaches. The children are incredibly well looked after, with several teachers giving them attention, encouragement, and making every class enjoyable. It’s wonderful to see how much confidence, discipline, and enjoyment they get from training.
Whether you’re an adult looking to start BJJ later in life or a parent searching for a welcoming club for your children, I highly recommend Roger Gracie Euston. It’s much more than a martial arts academy—it’s a community.
I love RGA Euston. I went to my first class last October at the ripe old age of 61 and have been delighted by how welcoming and friendly the club is. The coaches (Junior, Uyi, Serg and Bruno) are outstanding, and I’ve been struck by the absence of ego and a common desire among students to learn, improve and support each other.
It’s been a particular pleasure that my 26 year-old daughter tried a class and loved it, and we now train together two or three times a week. My best buddie has also joined and loves it too.
I wholeheartedly recommend RGA Euston to anyone of any age who wants a new challenge or to get fit or to learn to defend themselves or to join a vibrant sport-based community.
If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would.
I started BJJ four months ago and, in that short time, RGA Euston has become one of my favourite places to be. I signed up to try a new sport and accidentally acquired a full personality trait.
Every part of the club deserves a shoutout. The coaching is fantastic and each coach brings something different to the classes - whether that’s humour, attentiveness, technical skill, or the ability to explain something for the tenth time without making you feel silly. I also love that they know us by name.
The training partners are also great. Everyone is welcoming, considerate, and willing to help those with less experience. Also obsessed with the fact I train here with my dad and uncle 😭🥹🥰.
Special shoutout to Callum and Anahita on the front desk, who made everything from my initial enquiry to joining, and anything I’ve needed since, so easy. They’re always so helpful, accommodating, and friendly.
The atmosphere throughout the club is warm, supportive, and welcoming. The dojo and facilities are always clean, and I like the rules such as wiping your feet before stepping onto the mats 🫧🧺🧼.
What started as trying a new sport has become my favourite hobby. As a bonus, I’m getting stronger and fitter along the way.
They say BJJ is like Fight Club, except everyone talks about it all the time. Consider me guilty as charged 👀🫣🤪.
Thank you, RGA Euston, for creating such a brilliant place to train. 🙏🏼❤️🔥🙏🏼
I think there is something really family like in this dojo - great community! My kids love going there, professors are super professionals, lessons are well prepared and kids feel it. I love people at the reception, they always so kind, especially to the younger siblings and supply them with all the crafts to get them busy. Everyone is happy. BJJ is really good for every age , for my kids it helps to maintain emotions and teach them discipline. Love our RG Euston!
Wonderful community and a great place to be learning and training Brazilian Jiujitsu. Couldn’t recommend this school more for those who would like to try it out!
I had the chance to drop in for a class while I was in London for work, and I’m so glad I did. This gym is absolutely top-tier — easily one of the best facilities I’ve ever seen for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and clearly maintained to a very high standard.
From the moment I walked in, the staff and members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made it easy to jump into class and feel right at home, even as a visitor.
Whether you're local or just passing through like I was, I can’t recommend this gym highly enough. If you're in the area and looking for a place to train, definitely check it out — you won’t be disappointed.
One of the best academies in London. The atmosphere is vibrant, positive, and everyone is welcoming. The coaches and staff are friendly and have years of experience.
If you are looking for a place to train Jiu-Jitsu, RGA Moorgate is first on the list!
I'm in town just for a couple of days and asked if I could join them for a couple of sessions -- their hospitality was fantastic, making me feel 100% welcome. Plus the gym is great and staff is highly skilled. I'll be back again next time for sure. OSS
