As someone who has always wanted to dabble in the world of Jiu Jitsu, I can say after my second class, it’s been so much fun!
The team from the minute I wondered in were so lovely! From front of house, till marketing and coaching. It really does feel like a place with community and soul (which is so important to me). I for one can’t wait to get really stuck in with ARMA.
With a very below average fitness level 😝 but sheer enthusiasm to get stuck in I’m excited for what the future holds!
If anyone is thinking, should I? Or have thoughts of imposter syndrome creeping in, give it a go! I’m so pleased I did!
Thanks for being so welcoming and friendly team!
Had an amazing experience dropping in to Arma. The front of house team were hospitable and made us feel extremely welcome. Coupled with world class instruction and training, and the best facilities I've ever had the privilege of using, I couldn't recommend Arma more highly.
My son has had a fantastic experience at ARMA Jiu Jitsu Club. The coaches are patient, encouraging, and create a really welcoming environment for children to learn and grow in confidence. He’s thoroughly enjoyed every session and always comes home excited about what he’s learned.
It’s clear that the instructors genuinely care about the children’s development, not just in jiu-jitsu but also in building discipline, respect, and self-confidence. We couldn’t be happier with the club and would highly recommend ARMA to any parent looking for a positive, supportive place for their child to train.
I have been training at ARMA as a day-pass member since they opened to attend Ffion’s Gi classes. As a female practitioner, it was the perfect complement to my main training, offering a world-class academy environment with epic female instructors and a strong community of women on the mats.
Unfortunately, my home club of 5 years recently closed, leaving me with a massive decision on where to train next. Because of the incredible cross-training experiences I’d already had here, it was an absolute no-brainer to become a full-time member at ARMA this month.
The transition has been seamless. I’ve felt incredibly welcomed by all the staff and members. The technique taught here is top-tier, and I deeply appreciate everyone’s kindness and expertise.
ARMA is exceptionally inclusive for women not just through their teaching staff and membership, but even down to their merchandise. Their female Jiu-Jitsu gear includes a "Curve Edition" tailored specifically for women, which is a rare and amazing touch. I’m so grateful to be part of this club!
Update: Back in London and of course I had to drop back into this beautiful facility for the comp class. I saw familiar faces and was welcomed back with open arms. Thank you for having me, see you again in September. Big shout out to Coach Ffion, Coach Stuart, Tom, Enzo and Noor 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🧼🧼🧼
From the moment you walk through the door, the facilities immediately stand out. The space is clean, modern, and clearly designed by people who actually train. The mats are immaculate, the layout is thoughtful, and everything, from changing areas, strength and conditioning area, recovery area (sauna / cold plunge) , feels intentional and high-level. It’s the kind of environment that makes you want to train harder simply by being in it.
At the front desk, Poppy is an absolute gem. She’s warm, professional, and incredibly welcoming, exactly the kind of first impression that sets the tone for the entire academy. Whether you’re a brand new white belt or a seasoned competitor dropping in, she makes you feel genuinely valued and taken care of. That kind of energy matters more than people realize, and ARMA nails it.
And then there’s the coaching.
Coach Stuart Cooper (yup that Stuart Cooper) brings something rare to the mats: elite-level technical knowledge paired with a calm, thoughtful, and intentional teaching style. His coaching isn’t about ego or flash, it’s about clarity, precision, and helping every student truly understand Jiu-Jitsu. You can feel the depth of experience in the way techniques are explained, connected, and contextualized. Whether you’re focused on fundamentals or refining high-level details, his guidance elevates your game.
But what really sets ARMA apart is the culture. It’s serious without being intimidating, welcoming without being watered down. You feel supported, challenged, and respected, all at the same time. That balance is incredibly hard to create, and ARMA has done it beautifully.
In short: world-class facilities, outstanding staff, elite coaching, and an environment that actually makes you better, on and off the mats.
ARMA Jiu Jitsu Club isn’t just a place to train. It’s a place to grow.
Dropped in at Arma while visiting London from Vancouver and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. Beautiful facility and world class instructors. I went to two classes led by Ffion Davies and Stuart Cooper, who both taught some great and very different positions. No stupid warm ups, just the good stuff. The room was welcoming and the rounds were great. If you’re passing through London, this is definitely a place to visit.
If you are looking for a space to grow and fall in love with a proactive ecosystem - ARMA is the spot just for that!
I absolutely love training here! The coaches are incredibly supportive aswell as highly knowledgeable. They push you to be the better version of yourself and you wouldn’t want it any other way.
The co-working space upstairs is also wonderful and a great space to enter a productive mindset. You can focus, do calls in the private booth and enjoy a lovely coffee on the balcony that looks out onto the Shard.
Fantastic gym, great sauna and cold plunge space with a brilliant workspace - this space is the one stop shop for anyone looking to start Jiu Jitsu or move into a space where they can balance work and sport
Tom, James, Poppy, Becky and the whole ARMA gang are unconditionally welcoming and you’ll feel right at home!
