One of the best places to go train and learn BJJ. The staff are always providing filtered water and fruits to their members and visitors. They organise multiple social free events and it's really a home for some of their members. Also, the dedication of the 2 current Black Belt Head coaches of this place is unbelievable. They give their hearts to this place. I love New school Brixton
I can't ask for a better gym to train at. Transferred here last year September and I got welcomed to a wonderful gym. Everyone is so warm and respectful and absolutely great to roll with. High level, skilled individuals and all aligned to honing their craft.
Joined the gym as a blue belt last summer after relocating to London. Really high level of coaching and great people too! Very lucky to have found New School Brixton right on my doorstep.

Been training here for a year now, got my first two stripes here. It's a really supportive community, I always look forward to training and the time flies when I'm there. The level of coaching is very high - they know how to achieve things in competition, and also how to teach. When I tried my first competition I was pleasantly surprised - I did better than I expected!

The quality of teaching is excellent and everyone is really welcoming so it is great for people trying it for the first time. They also have dedicated competition training and provide many opportunities to compete at all levels. The facilities are also clean and well maintained.

I joined as a blue belt from a different school and I felt very welcomed as I arrived. The lessons I received from the coaches are top notch and they're very honest about what they know and what isn't within their field of expertise. I've met dishonest black belts from other schools with big egos who won't admit to not knowing something and it's a bad look. New School is perfect for anyone who is a hobbyist or a serious competitor. Their track record on the competition scene despite only existing for 3 years is extraordinary. This is a massive recommendation from me.

The cubs class is exceptionally ran! My son is really enjoying Jujitsu, and has learnt so much in such a short space of time, and that's all down to the staff (teachers). This is a club for all, big and small🥋

I would strongly advise people to be very careful before signing up. I joined on an introductory offer, but after trying to cancel, I received no response and was still charged the full monthly fee. Only after the payment was taken did they reply, and they refused to issue a refund despite my earlier attempt to cancel. The cancellation process relies on email, which in my case was ignored at the time it mattered. I also spoke to a staff member, Athena, and found the interaction unhelpful. The response came across as dismissive and unprofessional, which made the situation even more frustrating. Overall, this experience felt unfairly handled. Make sure you keep records of any communication and don’t assume your cancellation has been processed unless you receive clear confirmation.
Really toxic school bjj new school Brixton. Instructor is really toxic which is why their star blue belt competition student Patricõ aka paddacake left that place as he said on the video since leaving his made more progress. No showers , worn out mats , and over priced. AVOID . Funny thing is he used him to sandbag all the blue belt comps and still never gave him a purple belt . The instructor is all marketing hype
