Pedro Sauer Jiu-Jitsu Academy & PSBJJA Headquarters

  • I really hate doing this but this comes from the amount of frustration and desperation to find a good school that is near my home. You can only imagine the number of chances I gave this place before resorting to writing this review. I have an incredibly busy and demanding work schedule and really prefer to have all the logistics figured out before coming in and signing up for classes. I am not picky about the training facility. I don’t need to see the facility or be persuaded by anyone before signing up. However, this place has utterly refused to show me their class schedule (something that most schools post on their website) and their pricing (something most schools tell you when you contact them). But I’ve literally asked this school about 10 times on different occasions for their pricing and schedule and it’s been like pulling teeth trying to get any information. I explained to them that there is no point in me coming in if 1) the schedule doesn’t fit my work schedule and 2) the pricing is out of my range. Are these not fair reasons? This is the strangest experience I’ve ever encountered with any BJJ school. Not sure what they’re trying to pull?? Maybe they really just don’t even care. Literally each time I bring up schedule and pricing, I am met with complete silence. They just stop answering you. I am completely confused and dumbfounded. It’s something so simple but they refuse to tell you for some weird reason. Are these things some sort of secret that I’m not allowed to know until I sign up? How does that even work??

  • I’m a blue belt and member of another Pedro Sauer affiliate. I had the pleasure of visiting and training for two evenings while in town for the holidays. The members and instructors were top-notch. Highly recommend.

  • I have been taking Muay Thai classes here at OSMA . The teachers and the students are very respectful and careful, the place doesn’t have any bro culture , so you get top notch instruction in safe environment. You have some advanced students with black belts in other martial arts, so you get to see and learn some of the tricks they know. The only complaint I have is that they don’t stretch enough and get right into the techniques. The Muay Thai class is preceded by a BJJ class which is always packed ( no surprise it’s an amazing BJJ school ) , so even if you want to go early to stretch and warm up by yourself there is no space . None of the other students care about it , so I think it’s just my personal problem.

  • This a fantastic academy to train in for both adults and children. Master Pedro Sauer is one of the best instructors in the world and every one of the Instructors are very knowledgeable and it is easy to see that they enjoy genuinely teaching. I train at this academy every time I am within a 3 hour drive and it is more than worth the trip every time. If you are looking for a Friendly, Safe and Fun training environment this is the place to go.
