We absolutely love Red Dragons Martial Arts! Both Max and Lulu attend and they genuinely look forward to every session. Simon, their instructor, is fantastic—patient, encouraging, and brilliant with children. He creates such a positive, supportive environment where the kids not only learn martial arts skills but also build confidence, discipline, and respect. It’s been amazing to see how much Max and Lulu have grown since starting. Their confidence has really improved, and they always come home proud of what they’ve achieved. I would highly recommend Red Dragons Martial Arts to any parent looking for a fun, structured, and empowering activity for their children.

I would like to thank Lloyd and Red Dragons for showing what leadership, strength, coordination, and balance means for my 4 year old son! I would recommend Red Dragons to any parents who want to build their children's self esteem. Don't hesitate. Although my 4 year old son initially struggled, he is doing so much better and Lloyd and his team really provided that crucial foundation that every 4-5year old needs.

I am a nine-year old, and I have been coming here with my mum for almost 4 years now. It is a fun place where you can play games and get fit at the same time. I would recommend this to anybody who wants to enjoy exercising! We have lots of fun with Sensei and we earn belts through grading. I love Sensei because he is funny, hard-working and competitive! He creates challenges were we can have fun and get rewarded at the same time!

Brings the fun to Martial arts. Lessons are taught for the kids with a big emphasis on fun, and both my children really enjoy the sessions. It's great to see them progressing and they feel real achievement when they get the next belt. Lloyd shows genuine interest in the progress and development of each children

Just the most wonderful experience for my six year old. The first activity she's actually looked forward to and we've seen a transformation in her confidence, too. It's been lovely to watch. Sensei Lloyd is such an awesome instructor. He's fun, but focused. Warm, but controlled. They learn martial arts - but also, listening, respect, control, balance, and resilience. I am constantly impressed with how he fits it all in, still has the kids smiling, and keeps an eye out on anyone who might need extra support. Really couldn't rate it higher.

My child and I have been coming to RDMA for a year and a half and it has made a big difference in our lives. For my kid it has brought confidence, fitness, discipline and perseverance. For me it has helped my self worth, mental health and given me something to aim for (black belt before I’m 50) which I never even knew I needed. Everyone I’ve met in the community has been supportive and friendly and the senseis have been inspiring and genuinely care about our journeys and us as people. I was finding it very hard as a single parent to fit in excercise without also finding childcare and the fact that I can attend with my child means I can finally keep fit while having something to bond with them over. Added to this I feel more confident that both me and my child could protect ourselves physically if we ever need to. The lessons are delivered with discipline, hilarious running jokes and compassion, and we have found them to be inclusive of neurodivergence and gender diversity in a world which often isn’t. Give the free trial class a go and I promise you will leave laughing and knackered

Red Dragons has been incredible for my 7 year old son. It has brought him strength, discipline, confidence, friends and we all feel like we have been welcomed into a family. Sensei Lloyd is so good at treating the children with respect, and therefore receiving respect in return, all whilst empowering them, making sessions fun and making each child feel seen, heard and to have a place. They become empowered by it and that is so powerful in itself. I really cannot recommend Red Dragons enough.

My now eight-year-old son joined Red Dragons a year and a half ago, and the progress he has made during this time has been remarkable. His strength, coordination and balance have improved significantly, and it has been rewarding to observe his increased confidence and enthusiasm for physical activity. Sensei Lloyd demonstrates an excellent ability to engage with the children, maintaining their focus whilst ensuring the classes remain enjoyable. Each session incorporates elements of humour, creating an environment that is both supportive and disciplined. We walk out of every session feeling upbeat, motivated and ready to take on the week. Red Dragons has been fantastic for him.
