If you are interested in self defence or martial arts for competition there is no better school in Bristol. Great atmosphere and support from coaches and other members. Curriculum delivered derived from Gracie BJJ. In person seminars available from GOAT Roger Gracie himself as well as other internationally known black belt competitors. Strong competition team with exceptional track record and specific classes to train for competition. Couldn't recommend this place enough... Currently expanding into multiple schools across Bristol so check out what's coming soon local to you on their website!
Posted a month agoI’ve been training here since 2019 and I’ve seen it grow significantly in that time, into one of the best clubs around. The club is big, with an excellent mix of hobbyists and competition level talent - so whatever your goals are, you are catered for. There are classes 7 days a week, several times a day, which is perfect for me, as I have a young family so have plenty of choice/options. Although the club is big, it feels like a family - everything about it is just right. It is also run in a very professional way and the back office team do a fantastic job. The coaches are excellent (shout out to Clayton, Luke, Mikey and Carson) and the members are a great, friendly bunch - everyone looks out for each other. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Posted 4 months agoThe atmosphere and camaraderie at this place are fantastic, and the teachers excel at creating a safe learning environment. However, I am giving three stars due to issues with the administrative side of the business. I asked to pause my membership and get a refund because I broke my toe. They agreed, but one month later, I had not received the refund, and they charged me for another month. Frustrated, I tried to cancel my membership, but the cancellation form was hard to find. Additionally, no direct debit was set up, so I couldn't cancel the payments through my bank as they were charging my account directly using my debit card details. When I finally managed to cancel my membership and demanded the promised refund, I was told there was a one-month notice period. As a result, I ended up losing £100 without any training, due to poor communication. Please make the cancellation process free and easy for clients!
Posted 3 weeks agoBest of the best in the south west!💪🏼 If you’re looking to compete, improve your fitness or just learn some self defence, I couldn’t recommend this club enough. All the coaches are top tier and generally everyone in the club are very welcoming. I’ve never done BJJ before but after my first session I was completely hooked and now I’m obsessed with the sport, 12/10!
Posted 4 months agoImmediately fell in love with the sport and would definetly put it down to the the attentiveness of the coaches and how personable, friendly and respectful everyone is and not an ego in sight. Can't rate my experience any higher!
