My daughter just completed the 10 day trial and enjoyed the Gracie Jiu Jitsu classes very much. The classes included a good mix of games/fun and self defence focused jiu jitsu. She will be continuing with the Gracie Bully Proof program!

The Gym is extremely organized and professional. There are clear standards for advancement. It’s clean and the teachers are clear in their lessons.

The women empowered program is amazing! I just started and everyone is so kind and willing to help. As someone who has no previous experience in this, I was extremely nervous. But they make sure you feel comfortable and confident. I am very excited to continue in the program! Highly recommend!

My son had his first interaction with the team at Gracie Jiu-jitsu today. It was wonderful. They were welcoming and helpful. I like how they intertwined self defense with responsibility, accountability and respect. Once the session was over he immediately said he wanted to go back, so we'll definitely be continuing after the trial period ends. Thanks for making him feel like he was always part of the team.

Amazing kids program!!! Mike and his team make you feel welcome and understood. All the training partners are great and open to explaining or going slow if your Injured. I absolutely love the environment that has been created at this school. 10/10

I signed my son up for the trial and he was very unsure at first, as he is 13 and right between the age groups for two levels. The instructors at the club were helpful and supportive and allowed him to attend both the junior grapplers class and the combatives classes to see what he felt would be the best fit. Mike took the time to speak with me after experiencing both and confirmed that the combatives classes would be best for him. Looking forward to more growth and enjoyment in the coming months!

Great experience at Women Empowered at Gracie Jiu‑Jitsu Winnipeg. The instructors taught practical, realistic moves for escaping holds, and the class as a whole felt supportive and welcoming. Everyone was friendly, and we shared plenty of laughs while learning skills that genuinely build confidence. I would definitely recommend it.

From the moment we walked in, my daughter and I felt welcomed. The instructors are knowledgeable and great at explaining techniques. We started with the 10-day trial and after the first class we knew we were committing. After just a few classes, I’ve already noticed a boost in my daughter’s confidence. Highly recommend!

I haven't been to a class in a while yet I still remember everything coach Mike and coach Kyle taught me - they are amazing instructors, along with the rest of the team! I always looked forward to coming to class and enjoyed every lesson they offered. Would highly recommend the women empowered self defense program (it's actually life-changing)!!

This program is set up perfectly to ensure students have created a solid foundational understanding of self defence before they experience live fight simulations. Beyond the hands on techniques the program touches on the importance of energy conservation and distance management in the event one has to defend themselves. The instructors who teach the program are all very knowledgeable and treat the students like peers. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming to new students and friends will be made quickly.

Been training with these guys for the last 6 years and they are just amazing! Mike the instructor is a great teacher, the curriculum is hands down the best, and the way it's taught is broken down where they make sure you'd learn it! A great jiujitsu and self defence gym! You guys should give it a try soon!!

I have been a member for a few years. The environment is very friendly and welcoming. Instruction is great. Instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Members are all friendly. Jiu Jitsu can be intimidating but they make it comfortable to get started.

Really great initial class - my daughters were a little anxious about their first martial arts class but the instructors were really mindful in including all the students in the activities. The gym was clean and well prepared, the instructors were really engaged with the students providing direct feedback during the sparing sessions. Both daughters are excited to go back and the next morning were still excitedly talking about their class.
