Wow it's a great gym, but the best thing about this gym is if you make over 6 figures, you are treated as VIP. Just talk to Lucas and tell him your income, and if anyone at the gym submits you too many times or you feel uncomfortable for any reason (even if someone looks at you weird!), just tell him you are withholding your tuition and Lucas will trespass that individual from the gym permanently (they will be arrested if they even try to train), and give you a belt promotion! It's that easy. People say its for self-defense or whatever but some of the moves hurt, so this is easier. Jiujitsu is really difficult to learn and if you don't have time for that, just go here. Lucas is a businessman, and this is his business.

I had the opportunity to visit the academy while traveling for the holidays and it was an absolutely amazing experience. I attended two classes, Professor Andre taught some amazing techniques and all the students were very inviting, courteous, and friendly. If I lived in the area, I would definitely train at this school full-time.

10 out of 10 every time! This place compares to none other. I hated to leave when I moved and couldn't find another that lived up to what I was used to so I had to settle. Once you've had a taste from the best.... it's hard to go anywhere else! All of the instructors were fabulous and I will miss them. Each one has a unique ability to break down each technique into bite size chunks that are easily understood. The patience and love for what they do shines through. Lucas has truly built something great!

Moved from FL a couple weeks ago, and was looking for a academy to continue my journey in BJJ. Lucas is famous and a one of the best in BJJ, but more than that the way how I was treated and the professors style of teaching got me very interested in being a member and a student of him. I truly recommend Lucas Lepri Jiu Jitsu Academy if you want quality jiu jitsu and a great atmosphere on the mats.

I brought my daughter in because she was having bullying issues and had become quiet and started to not believe in herself. The entire staff here has been amazing. Her self confidence has sky rocketed and she has fell in love with BJJ. Coach Freddie and the rest of her instructors are always inviting and respectful. Thanks a million to the entire Lucas Lepri academy they are amazing.

The is the best BJJ school in Charlotte- hands down! For those of you who are new or don’t know jiu-jitsu very well, Lucas Lepri is one of the most dominant and decorated champions of all time. He was recently inducted to the Hall of Fame and this is his main school in which he regularly teaches (as in daily). I have trained at other HQ schools and seeing or actually being instructed by the head of the school is not very common. That is not the case here- you are getting instruction from one of the best to EVER do it. Not only is Lucas an amazing instructor, he has assembled an amazing staff. My two children are in the kids program and they regularly are led by two or three black belts (including Lucas sometimes)…check out other schools… having that level of instruction for a kids program is unheard of. If you want the best instruction and ability to train at the highest caliber school in the Charlotte area, come see it for yourself!

The instructors and the team! For me I really needed to trust the Professors teaching, but also the people I would be rolling with. Lucas, Freddie, Donovan, and Paulo all create an environment where every age, physical ability, and skill level get the same attention and respect and that trickles down through the students. It’s an amazing environment to learn BJJ!

We LOVE this place. We signed our 4 year old up and he has so much fun! Everyone there is super nice and professional. The ladies who work at the front desk are great at following up with you regarding classes and attendance considering the amount of people who attend. Our son has learned so much. It is definitely worth the price to be a member.

Humility. I love Jiu Jitsu but at Lucas Lepri BJJ there is this sense of humility that permeates down from Lucas, through the other professors into the students. That is the main reason why I recommend Lucas Lepri BJJ, it just makes you a better person.

An experience of a lifetime. This gym is the real deal. If you want to learn Jiu Jitsu, get a phenomenal workout, or learn self defense this is the gym for you. Being able to train with Lucas Lepri is humbling, and for such a famous athlete, he is very humble himself. Most of all Lucas is a great professor and so are the other coaches. They are patient and provide quality one-on-one time with students to help students better understand the fundamentals of jiu jitsu. Seasoned students are also very helpful and friendly. For the facilities: the gym is spacious, and the facilities are clean. For those needing to shower after class/before work there are large locker rooms.

As a woman, it can be intimidating to walk into a new gym. This gym however is inviting, welcoming and all inclusive. Lucas Lepri BJJ is the best jiu-jitsu academy I have I have ever been to. Their instruction is second to none. The instructors are knowledgeable and they really take the time to know you and your children. It's also a competitive place where you can learn from the very best if you want to compete. My son has been training for approximately 6 months and it has impacted his life tremendously. He is more confident, healthier and he is doing great in school and I can say without a doubt in my mind that it is all thanks to the training he is receiving. If your child is having confidence issues I highly recommend you enroll him/her.

It's not just the best BJJ school in Charlotte, it's one of the best in the entire country. Learning BJJ from Lucas Lepri is like learning basketball from Michael Jordan. Prof Fred and Donovan's teaching is very detail oriented and they make sure to give every student attention to get the technique correct. It's not rare to walk in and see some of the top BJJ competitors in the world training for their next competition. Finally, all the other students, regardless of belt level or experience, are very welcoming and make you feel like part of a larger team. My kids have been training for 4 years and I started 1.5 years ago. One of the best decisions we've made as a family.

From the time I walked in the door, I was treated with kindness and respect. Even though it was my first day it felt like I've been training there for years. Everyone was very amicable. The instructors put a lot of care when going over positions and different techniques. Everything was clear to understand and the focus could be put on implementing what they were showing us. The organization is part of the best BJJ team on the planet. You can't go wrong here. This is the place to be!

The coaching staff is top notch. These guys and gals are real pros. The other students and the environment in general is very welcoming. I'm older (41) and a first timer. Can't say enough good stuff about it. I'm really enjoying myself. I joined because I got bored with the drudgery of endurance sports. I was looking for something a little more challenging and fun. I came in from out of town for just one day and was looking for a school to catch a class for the night. The school looks clean and I’m sure the instructors are great but I never got a chance to train with them because they wanted 45$ mat fee for one class. I decided to go to another school 30 minutes away that was more affordable.
