One of the best gyms around for kids adults and Tiny Tots, Great self defense my boys love going here!!!
After reading great recommendations for Virtues jiu-jitsu for my 4 yr old, I emailed right away for an appointment. My son was very shy at first but he enjoyed his lessons and it was great seeing him participate! Everyone was so sweet in making him feel comfortable and a part of the class. If you’re looking, look no further 🤍
The Virtues Jiu-Jitsu Self Dense Academy is truly one of the best self-defense academies is the La porte/Deer Park, Tx area. Focusing from standing self-defense to ground submission grappling Gracie Jiu-jitsu. Professor Alex, his wife Jamie, and kids share their high-level skills and passion for the Art. The facility is very clean, and family orientated. My kids and I have made this place our second home and are happy to be part of the Virtues family. I highly recommended this academy to anyone.

I have had multiple surgeries (spine, shoulders, face) and have many injuries from service overseas. I have found that jiu-jitsu gave me much of my functionality, flexibility and stamina back.
They offer discounts for military and prior service.
Teaching is comprehensive, from tournament to self-defense and fitness.
My children attend, and discounts for family are amazing.
I have watched many children's classes, as well as the women's class and attended many adult classes. I can attest it is a high quality school.
I have visited many schools in the area from Beaumont to Westheimer and this is simply the best.
This is a fantastic Academy! My 5 year old has learned so much in 3 months. I can’t wait to see how much he grows. I highly recommend it!

can’t say enough about this gym! I’ve been to a lot of gyms in the past but none have come close. I felt like the first couple of months I started here my jiu jitsu had improved more then I could imagine and I have to say it’s all thanks to my coach Alex that comes from such a bad ass jiu jitsu lineage that your pretty much getting it straight from the source and of course can’t forget about Jamie as she also has a lot of knowledge in jiu jitsu and loves to teach many women how to be empowered. I’m currently a blue belt now and have gain a lot from my journey like having confidence, how to solve problems quick, how to get out of a tough position in Jiu-Jitsu and in life, how to stay calm no matter how bad the situation is and of course beyond everything I gain a new family I feel like we’re all just a big family here and we always look out for each other. So if you’re looking for a gym!!! this is it my friend! if you have kids empower them with the gift of Gracie jiu jitsu and give them the confidence they need not just for self defense but in life too. if your looking for self defense this is the school as we focus more on that here, we even have police officers that train here to help them out when they’re out in the field and of course if your looking for something to get you in shape, change your life or want to compete in tournaments to chase gold that’s all here too don’t be scare just come in for a 3 day free Trial. can’t get any more legit then here.
My daughter started Jiu-Jitsu here in April and since the very first day, Alex and Jamie (along with their kids) have made us feel welcome and like a family. I am so happy to have found this place. If you are looking to sign your child up for classes Virtues Jiu-Jitsu is the place. You won’t regret it.
My husband, boys, and I all have been training here for the past 2 years. We absolutely love it. The coaches are great and work very well with our kids. It has become our second home now. We recommend to anyone in the area!
This Academy has been a God send for my son. He LOVES going to class and has learned so much. It has quickly become his favorite extra curricular activity. The coaches are wonderful. Its like a family. Highly recommend. 10/10!
We love this place and so does our son. They make it fun so the kids not only learn self-defense but stay interested. Coach Jamie works so well with the tiny tots ND keeps a great relationship with then all.
I can't say enough good things about this place! They are extremely reasonable with their prices and really care about their students above everything else. Coach Alex and Coach Jamie are both excellent coaches and really know how to work with kids. This is definitely the best place around to become part of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu family!
Best jiu-jitsu academy around. Would absolutely recommend for adults, and children of all ages.
Their three class trial is a great way to introduce kids and ensure they still want to do it without committing!
