Bushi Ban has changed my child’s life. He is in the after school and summer program and has been attending over one year. He loves it so much that he even goes on days when I’m not working. Summers are spent always doing something active, and include field trips. After school care includes a martial arts lesson and play time afterward. My sons confidence has skyrocketed and his behavior has drastically improved at school. His school teachers say he’s a different kid since he started. He has a lot of respect for his master and trainers. Infinite stars for Bushi Ban!!

Bushi Ban has been a positive and life changing organization for me. I started back in 2007 and under Grand Master Zulfi's mentorship and coaching was able to grow from very out of shape to a professional MMA fighter in a short amount of time. This changed my life in so many positive ways and now as I age I have transitioned from being a fighter and into a lifelong Martial Artist. Bushi Ban has also become a family way of life with both of my young sons and my wife beginning their journey. No matter what you are looking for (getting in shape, growing confidence, competing, setting your kids on a positive path, etc) I believe Martial Arts has a lot of the answers for you, and I can think of no better place to find that fulfillment than under Grand Master Zulfi and the Bushi Ban System.

For the past 5 years I’ve seen incredible growth at Bushi Ban Pasadena. Not just in their martial arts skills but in their overall attitude and approach to life. The instructors are very patient, encouraging, and truly invested in the students’ success both inside and outside the dojo. My kids have developed a skill that I can see has helped them excel in sports, showing better teamwork, discipline, and focus. Even their grades in school have improved because of the strong emphasis on responsibility, goal-setting, and perseverance that Bushi Ban teaches. I love that they focus on building confidence and character, not just physical strength. My kids leave each class feeling accomplished and motivated, and the life lessons they’re learning here will stick with them forever. It is to recommend Bushi Ban to anyone looking to help their kids grow in confidence and strength in all forms.

Two of my students have been training at Bushi Ban Pasadena for a year, and their growth has been remarkable. The supportive environment and dedicated instructors have significantly contributed to their personal development and discipline. One has become more confident in her abilities, and I’ve noticed her increased focus during classes. The other has developed a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie through the buddy system, which has made her feel more connected to her peers. Both of them have learned the importance of perseverance and respect, not just in martial arts but in their everyday lives.

I’m 31 and decided to attend a beginner class. The class was filled with children between 5-8. My sparing partner was an 8ish year old girl (Tasmanian devil) named Marilyn. As we were about to start she whispered “prepare yourself noob” then swept my legs out from under me and pounced on me like a rabid tiger! I’m leaving traumatized but clearly they are teaching these kids well! I highly recommend just don’t make eye contact with a little girl named Marilyn! 5 ⭐️

I've been a part of the Bushi Ban family for almost 15 years. I grew up in the after school and summer camp programs and I can say from first-hand experience that anyone enrolled in Bushi Ban, no matter the age, learns to be confident in themselves, their abilities, and most importantly their character. The students are taught how to be respectful, responsible, and honest, alongside an excellent martial arts curriculum drawing from various influences to create one of the best overall martial arts experiences. Classes are taught by instructors trained by Grandmaster Zulfi or are taught by Grandmaster Zulfi himself. That may not seem like a big deal, but in the martial arts world it is extremely rare to interact with a Grandmaster. However, he tries to interact with every student, no matter their rank or age. If you're looking for an excellent martial arts experience, Bushi Ban is the place to go!

I have read all of the reviews I found listed here and before I add my own I want to speak to the 1 star ratings. Yes, Bushi Ban is expensive but it is also worth every last penny without a shred of doubt. It is also not a place to collect belts. If the student is ready to move to the next rank, they will be tested. This is determined by Bushi Ban black belts that have trained under one of the greatest instructors that I have ever met, Master Zulfi Ahmed. They do not hold students back to make more money off classes. As far as the customer service, I personally have not had any issues whatsoever. Do they use a third party billing service? Yes. Do they always bill me on the exact same day? No. Is it a bit of an inconvenience? Yes, but it's a minor inconvenience and it's been much much better recently. Could they explain the contract better before you get started? Maybe, it's been 7 years for me so I can't really remember how that conversation went. Ok, now let me tell you about our experience. 7 years ago my wife and I decided to enroll our daughter in the after school program. Looking back, I can honestly say that it was one of the greatest decisions that we have made with regards to our daughters future. The peace of mind knowing that my daughter was well taken care of from the moment she left school until the time I picked her up alone was worth the money. Making sure she had help with her homework and making sure she had fun and stayed active was a bonus. The training she was provided is simply priceless. I'm not just talking about the classes she attended Monday to Thursday. I'm talking about the sparring classes, the Saturday morning classes run by a husband and wife who are Bushi Bam black belts, the extra Saturday classes run by Master Zulfi himself that lasted longer than they were supposed to, Oh and the price of these "extra" classes was nothing more than time. They didn't even ask for us to help pay for the food they provided the kids. My daughter is about to take her 4th and final black belt test next month and we couldn't be happier.

We had joined Bushi Ban in October and I’m honestly shocked how much my daughters enjoyed the Martial Arts Program. It was just something we decided to try on a whim and it’s worked out great. My daughters have learned so many skills that are not only part of the Martial Arts creed but morals that are and used everyday in all aspects of their lives. The people their treat us as family. Master Danny has really helped my more shy and passive child to open up more. I’m extremely happy we made this decision for my daughters it’s been an amazing experience! Thank you to our Bushi Ban Family!

I have been training at Bushi Ban for almost 25 years and can say the instructors and facility is hands down one of the greatest around. Every program has something for everyone. Anywhere from your child wanting to have fun and develop their over all character; all the way to an adult looking to get in better shape and reduce some stress levels. Something we all can agree on is that children and adults need less screen time and more mat time. After all can you really put a price on your health?

My experience with Bushi Ban has always been amazing as they go above and beyond. Some of you might think of it as business but it is not. The people who teach are highly wualifies and are constantly teaining to inprove themselves. Some think its an activity, sure for some is but there is no place except Martial Arts that will teach a child proper behavior and motor skills. Some complain about the merely amount that these Martial Arts Schools are charging. Seriously? Prople spend thousands of dollars on prom dreas, wedding dreas, Gymnastic costumes, Dance costumes and are happy to pay two or three times more than Martial Arts Schools. Think about this, if your child was in a situation ever in life and he or she protected her self because ahe took martial arts and became a black belt. Wouldnt you be taking a sigh of relief. At that time if anyone would ask you onto how much money was it worth. You would say any amount! Hats of to those who have taken the challenge to teach and protect the community.

My name is Rodrigo Galvanosi, I am the owner and head instructor of Fearless Fighting. I'v been training in Martial arts for over 38 years, and competed as a amateur and professional all through out the world. In all my years of training there are only a handful of schools that truly stood out in the way they trained there children, adults, and competitive athletes. I can honestly say, no other school I have ever had the pleasure of attending transcended their teaching so flawlessly between kids, adults, and competitive athletes. Not only is this facility immaculately kept, but the equipment is state of the art. The instructors that I have had the pleasure of training along side and watching teach are first rate, and do a amazing job. The owner Zulfi Amhed is not only a incredible teacher / mentor to thousands, but also one of the most humble and generous people I know. His abilities are only matched by his ability to create a facility beyond anything out there. All of the Bushi Ban team compliments the staff and teachers. To put it simply and with all humility, one word would best describe the Bushi Ban way, EXCELLENCE!

They have excellent facilities. However, the staff is where the problems start. Some of the employees are rude and not the brightest bulbs in the box. The main problem I have is that they drag out training for months and months before you can obtain your next belt. If you're ready for the next belt you're ready for the next belt. But they (like all martial arts studios) drag it out so that you have to spend more money in lessons to get the next belt.

Because my child had a friend outside of class, he was basically turned away for fear of holding his friend back. So the "integrity" & understanding the age group in which they teach was disappointing. They're kids & you will not have their full attention. Especially during a trial class with a child in a new & what should've been exciting environment. The little dragons teacher did so great that my child said on the ride home my teacher didn't like me. Heartbreaking. Had no positive feedback or gave credit for when my child was trying & making an effort. Only pointed out the negatives. If the teachers don't uphold what they're there to teach, patience, discipline, respect, etc...then that shows the standards in which the business stands behind. Do not recommend & never will.

I was looking for a martial arts place for my daughter. Visited this establishment for more information. Management will not allow you to take the contract to read. They want you to sign on yearly commitment with a cancellation fee. It appears from what I was told verbally that you give a third party vendor your bank information, but they will continue to pull payments from your check without a thirty day cancellation notice, and without such the payments will continue to be deducted from your account despite the contract term completing. The management refused to allow me to take a copy of the contract so I could review it more carefully. I was expected to make this decision standing up at a counter in the evening. This type of sales-pressure from a family oriented business is questionable to me.

So disappointed in my Bushi-Ban experience! Do not waste your time. I went to check out the facility, talked to someone for over 30 minutes, was given papers to sign up. My grandson was even given a "Free" trial class. Took my grandson to his first class, went to pay and enroll and THEN they let me know that you have to make a 12 month commitment! Now, mind you, this is 130.00 a month and for a 6 year old. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard of! How disappointed my grandson was when I told him we wouldn't be signing up. What kind of place is this anyway. Obviously not a place for children. And to think we almost signed him up for the summer program.
