Outstanding in every respect. I started over a year ago, and I love this place so much that I aim to go four nights a week. The sensei, Travis Boggs, started when he was 3 years old, earned his black belt at age 17, has won competitions all over the world, and has more skills, ideas, experience, and credentials than I can count.
But Mr. Boggs is more than a very effective martial artist; he is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered.
He is patient, yet he always keeps everyone focused. He is crystal clear in his explanations, even though martial arts requires lots of concentration. His language is crisp, sharp, accurate. But most of all, he makes every student, whether they've been practicing for 15 minutes or 15 years, feel 100% welcome.
If you want to pick up very practical skills...if you want a challenge...if you want a mind/body experience...if you want to be part of an excellent community of very kind yet effective practitioners, I honestly can't imagine a better place to learn a wide variety of jujitsu, judo, kickboxing, and other arts. The sensei is outstanding. The community is outstanding. You will grow, and enjoy doing it. Give it a try!
