Coaching is great, The other students train hard and the price is very affordable. No contracts no signing up for tedious pay plans. Simple and straight forward to get you on the mats consistently and easily.

Mendocino is perfect if you’re serious about your jiu jitsu. It is a welcoming team atmosphere and the guys in gym really push each other. You won’t come to this gym and leave without getting better.

I have been training at Mendocino for a little over a month now and have only had the best experiences. As a beginner and a female I was a little hesitant on joining something that is more male dominant, however everyone has been so kind and respectful. Max, the owner is an amazing coach, mentor, and person. He keeps everyone directed, comfortable, and will always take those few extra minutes to walk through things. I always leave class feeling better than when I walked in. I have learned so much and can’t wait to continue my journey with this amazing team. I can not recommend Mendocino enough!

Took my very first class tonight with a friend and we had so much fun. Everyone was welcoming and the atmosphere was awesome. I can’t wait to go back!

I started training at Mendocino Jiu Jitsu a little over a year ago to learn self defense and it’s been amazing. As an elder millennial female trying a very male dominated sport for the very first time, I was a little intimidated and unsure, but I was put at ease immediately. The owner, Max, is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated, and an excellent coach and teacher. The community I’ve found there is invaluable, and I’ve learned so much in the year that I’ve been training. Highly recommend!
