My son started in the starter program and is now apart of the leadership team. His confidence has came a long way in a short amount of time thanks to Summit . He is more vocal, also tries to lead while watching the others closely to be more efficient. Master Hill is great with the kids!
Posted 12 months agoMy 4 year old has been taking classes for about a month now, and he loves it ! The instructors are very kind and have a great approach with children. We are excited for this journey ☺️
Posted 12 months agoWe have been taking our almost five year old to Summit for over a month now and we can’t recommend it enough. They have an incredible approach with children and work very hard to keep them engaged even when the child is shy and nervous. Our son has already made great progress in terms of his behavior and confidence and we look forward to seeing him grow and progress further with the help of the amazing staff in Summit Martial Arts!
Posted 1 year agoWe attended a free class about a week ago, and our 5 year old had so much fun and learned so much from the brief visit! We decided to sign him up and he was very excited. He says he can’t wait to become a black belt and is always showing us how he can “sit like a black belt” and was so happy he broke his first board. The instructors are very patient with the kids and I love how they encourage them! We attended our first class today and when we left, the first thing he asked is “do I get to come back tomorrow?” I am really excited to see how Case does as he progresses! ☺️
Posted 1 year agoWe are new to SMA but so far it has been great! We went in for the informational meeting a couple weeks ago and ended up signing our son up the same day. I do not feel like we were pressured and I feel like every question we had was answered. Just in the short amount of time our son has been going to class we can see a different in his attitude at home because he loves going and wants to make sure he is doing everything correctly and respectfully. I can't wait to see how far he goes in this academy and the relationships he builds along the way!
Summit has been a very positive experience for my 7 year old son. I love that discipline, respect and self control are at the forefront of the classes. I can also see his self confidence growing!
I'm so glad I put my kids in Summit Martial Arts. They have learned discipline and are more respectful.
I have been going to Summit Martial Arts with my children for almost four years. It is a welcoming, fun but disciplined academy where we have learned so much taekwondo and taken away so many other lessons. My children have increased self-discipline, respect for self and others, and self-confidence! I highly recommend bringing your children as well as yourself!
are son really enjoys going to martial arts every week , they have a great staff and he really enjoys leadership classes
We started with the initial free class that was offered, we ended up signing up for regular lessons every week. My son is doing well and thriving. Summit martial arts is an amazing place for him to learn respect for himself and others as well as self confidence.
Master Hill and the staff are really great at leading their classes and instructing the students on the importance of discipline and respect!
Summit Martial Arts has been fantastic for my 5-year-old son, Parker! He absolutely loves it and looks forward to every class. The instructors are great with kids, and it's amazing to see his confidence and skills grow each week!
My daughter Ava has been going to karate classes for about a year now and she has showed that she is learning new things and learning all about respect. This is the best place to take your kids to learn about respect and discipline. Their schedules are flexible and everyone that helps with the classes are amazing!!
Master Hill is an excellent teacher and even though my son was a bit nervous to try something new at first he has really taken to the classes and I’ve seen a marked improvement in his focus and self discipline and he always look forward to class.
My daughter attends Summit Martial Arts and it has been a wonderful experience! She has shown tremendous improvement with her focus, discipline and respect.
Our granddaughter has been attending classes at Summit for over a year, and our grandson recently entered the black belt program. It has been very good for both of them in learning respect, self-control and responsibility. Master Hill and the teaching staff are excellent with children. We are having a great experience with Summit and I highly recommend the Academy.
My friend Luke is a ultimate sigma which makes him the ultimate rizzler of taekwondo karate jitsu
We went in for the one on one information class, and ended up signing my son up same day and he got to do his first class the same day. I felt like all my questions were answered very well. And they agreed this seemed like a very good fit to help get my little one to not be so shy. He hasn't stopped talking about his first class since we left a few days ago and he can't wait to return today !
Our son has been attending for about four months and really enjoys class. Master Hill is great at maintaining discipline without being overly harsh with the kids. He expertly keeps their attention while teaching, and fosters an environment full or respect, while still keeping classes fun. Our son can't wait to come to class each week and work towards a the next goal.
My son Nolan started his Taekwondo journey in January 2024. I have witnessed a remarkable growth of confidence and discipline in Nolan since starting with Master Hill. I would highly recommend Summit Martial Arts!
Have been going for about 6 weeks with our 3.5 year old and have nothing but great things to say! Every instructor has been encouraging, patient, and brings fun to each class. Love the discipline and respect my son is learning!
My daughter has loved taking Tiger classes. After winning a free month at Highland Heights Arbor Day, we plan to continue lessons!
My son has been attending Summit Martial Arts for the last 8 months. Starting at age 3.5 he was at times the youngest kid in class. I was worried at first given his age, but I’ve realized we started him at the perfect time. Having the instructors reinforce the self-discipline we’ve tried to instill at home has been great. We’ve seen our toddler grow more confident and respectful over the last few months. You couldn’t ask for a better group of instructors and the other students always take the time to help each other and give positive feedback! Overall we continue to have a great experience and hope our little guy remains committed long-term.
My daughter started here a couple of months ago. She loves going and is very motivated to do a great job and loves the recognition program. She is gaining confidence with this program. Thanks summit martial arts!
It's been a great experience watching my son grow at Summit the last 6 months. The instructors are patient and make martial arts fun for students of all ages. Everyone has always been professional and knowledgeable, fostering discipline and respect.
My daughter started martial arts at Summit, and can I just say she LOVES it! Master Hill is excellent with the students, she is learning so much discipline and respect already. She already has goals of becoming a black belt leader!
We are pleased thus far with Summit. The facility is clean. The instructors are up beat and attentive. Our son looks forward to his classes and constantly talks about it when he is not there. We like the structure the program brings and the merit system that includes praise for great grades, behavior, and leadership.
The instructors are all very knowledgeable and patient with the kids. We've seen improvement in our childs behavior and school work in just 2 months. Very welcoming and friendly people!
Our son Aiden started at summit to keep him active while he was not playing football. The instructors at Summit Martial Arts walked us through the whole process and have been patient and attentive ever since. Aiden loves coming to class and has already gained so much confidence.
Our granddaughter, Ava, wanted to learn karate. She was so excited after her first private lesson. Then the nerves set in. Master Hill and the other instructors helped her overcome her fears. She is now a month into group class and loves it. No matter how tired she is, after school, she is excited to go to her taekwondo class. I was told that Master Hill was one of the best. He is proving that to be true with his calm and always patient demeanor. Highly recommend you give them a try. Earning that black belt is something you will never regret.
Wonderful program. Wonderful staff. Awesome principles taught!
My boys are having a great time learning martial arts at this school!
My 5 year old daughter has loved coming to class and has gained confidence and discipline in the 5 months she’s been there so far. The teachers are responsive and engaged and the other students have been so supportive and encouraging as my daughter has learned the skills and routines. She is not only learning self control via the classes but has a wonderful group of polite, hard-working, enthusiastic classmates that she looks up to. We were initially hesitant with the year long commitment but the school gives you ample time with a 4 month trial period to see if it’s a good fit for your little one. She was able to try the upper level classes first and then we were able to pick the best fit for us. We’ve loved Summit Martial Arts!
My granddaughter recently started attending Summit. She has made great progress in a short time and loves her classes. Her confidence is already improving! Highly recommended Summit Martial Arts.
My Son Sandro is a student under Master Hill. Master Rick Hill has brought out his self confidence. The staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable in the teaching of the martial arts. Thank you Summit Martial Arts for all your hard work and dedication to you students!
My Son Jaxon started at Summit only 3 weeks ago. But already his focus and discipline have changed dramatically. Master Hill and the other instructors have done a fantastic job of reinforcing and building upon the core values we teach at home. Summit not only teaches martial arts, they teach good discipline, respect, and honor that is so important. I encourage all to come and see them. For my child it has been a life changing experience so far. I look forward to his continued education and training.
Summit Martial Arts has been an awesome experience for my son. The instructors are great and the classes are engaging.
Best decision I have ever made for my son Zaid. Ever since he has joined Summit M.A. I have noticed a positive change in Zaid attitude. He is now feels confident, committed and enjoys everything his instructors throws at him. Very proud.
Me and my boys started recently. We just finished our third class and I feel like the skills are getting easier. I love being able to do something with my kids that will have a positive effect on them. The instructors at Summit are excellent models of the values they are teaching.
These classes have been an excellent opportunity for my daughter to learn confidence, team work and respect. She has obtainable goals that she is encouraged to reach with structure and patience. It has been a great experience.
Summit Martial Arts is extremely fun and exciting. You get to learn new skills, cool weapons, discipline, respect, and learn to believe in yourself. Instructors are great role models and fun to work with. I really enjoy and look forward to class every week. - Colton Bishop
We love Summit Martial Arts! Master Hill and his staff are such great teachers and we are thrilled by all the progress our girls have made so far!
Great instructors, great family friendly environment! Master Hill is fantastic with the kiddos! Adults can work out at their individual physical limits. So glad we joined.
My grandsons absolutely love Master Hill and his crew. His ability to keep the kids interactive during class, is amazing. The family already see's a improvement in behavior and discipline.
We started our family here and so far we love it. Our oldest(7) is the most excited and loves it. I'm not a fan of the price but what they get out of it will be worth it to me.
Great for flexibility and renewing strength. Good to work with in achieving goals.
Our 8-year-old has been going here for 4 years now and absolutely loves it! He always looks forward to going to class plus other fun events they hold.
We love it here! It's so fun and efficient and has really helped my son with his focus. I would say his confidence has also improved! His little brother wants to come when he's a little older also!
This has been a wonderful experience for my 9 year old son. Master Hill is a true professional and is genuinely interested in instilling strong values, discipline, and physical fitness into his students. My boy looks forward his training at Summit, and I have noticed significant improvements in his coordination, balance, and overall attitude. I would strongly encourage parents to give Summit a try for their children, and even for themselves.
Summit has been great for me. They have great instructors. This teaches you self confidence and discipline. CB
They are so kind and patient with all ages of kids. My son started right before he turned 4 and had a rough start. Master Hill and his team helped get him excited to come to class!
My son just started Martial art at Summit, I can tell it’s a wonderful teaching institution of martial arts for kids. Master Hill and other crews are very knowledgeable in instilling great values in children. I am very sure I will be seeing fantastic improvements in my child self-confidence and both mental and physical health
Our family had discussed enrolling our children in a martial arts program for a while. Summit Martial Arts came highly recommended to us by a relative. Master Hill provides exceptional Taekwondo training. He is patient with and attentive to his students. Each child is taught on their individual level with extra instruction being available when requested. Students not only learn proper Taekwondo forms, sparring skills, and weapons techniques, but they also learn discipline, leadership, commitment, and respect for themselves and others. Classes are taught with an emphasis on the importance of being good students and listeners, whether at the academy, at school, or at home. Both of our children look forward to going to class, even a year later. This was not the case when they played traditional sports. Master Hill keeps the kids interested and makes classes enjoyable. In addition to traditional Taekwondo classes there are also Rank Advancement Training Camps, XMA Seminars, and special classes such as Glow Night with glow-in-the-dark Nunchucks or Glow Sabers. Summit Martial Arts has been beneficial in increasing our children’s confidence, improving their self-esteem, focus, concentration levels and self-discipline. They strive to do their best at home, at school, and at the academy. They can not wait to share their accomplishments with Master Hill and their fellow classmates.
My son loves martial arts class with Master Hill. He has become more focused and has gained more confidence.
Very good leadership. They teach you things you never knew. They also make sure you know your manners. But that isnt all they push you to your very best to defend yourself.
Master Hill is an excellent and friendly instructor. Great exercise in a relaxed environment. You'll learn armed and unarmed forms and spar with fellow students. You may even make some friends. Highly recommended! 🥋
My son is learning so much and has a great time doing it. Master Hill is very positive and caring with the little boys and girls. They learn discipline, listening skills and how to be good students. Thank you Master Hill!
My daughter started attending Summit Martial Arts for a little over ago (at age 5) and loves it. She has learned so much and made friends with the other students. She is always excited to go to class each week.
My son enrolled in Tae Kwan Do at age 4. He is an energetic yet shy boy. Master Hill works hard to encourage all his students and holds them accountable to his standards for discipline and respect. Julian has gained confidence and has more focus, which spills over to life outside of the gym.
My daughter Sam has been a student at Summit Martial Arts since she was 4 years old. It has given me additional help with discipline and her overall behavior. She thoroughly enjoys the class and it is a great environment for her. Well worth the money.
My son enjoys going to taekwondo. It is a great way to teach him discipline.
Master Hill is a great instructor. My daughter is new to the program, but is loving every moment of it. The environment and energy at Summit is very welcoming and positive.
The experiences and opportunities my daughter has had since joining this program have been priceless. Her confidence has grown along with an increased attention span. Master Hill is extremely patient yet firm and teaches many different lessons that she applies at home and school. The opportunity for the whole family to participate only helps encourage and bring families closer. I would definitely recommend Summit Martial Arts to anyone!
Master Hill is an amazing instructor and teaches the children respect! My son enjoys going to class every week!
Summit Martial Arts has been a blessing for my son! Master Hill and Master Frank are both amazing instructors and role models for our kids. The topics they address in classes are just as important as the exercises and taekwondo forms they teach the kids. The consistency of the classes has helped my son who was struggling with some concerning behaviors last summer. The forms he has learned have increased his self-confidence and pride. Recently, I have enjoyed taking the classes with him, and never realized they were as challenging as they are! I am glad I have “walked in their shoes.” I would recommend Summit Martial Arts to anyone. It is such a good use of time for individuals and families. Thank you, Master Hill and Master Frank!
Great place to learn taekwondo with the family. I love learning techniques at the same time as my children do, creating memories with them, working out with them, instead of sitting on the side watching them as you do with other sports.
This martial arts academy is the perfect choice for my son, Master Hill is doing a good job teach him how to behave, to defend himself and to respect others. We love him and the people around this school!
This is a great place for my son. He is learning a lot. Master Hill is great with the children. If you're looking for a place to teach discipline and self worth this is a great place to go.
We love Summit Martial Arts! Our whole family (Mom, Dad, and 10-year-old son) have been students here for the past 3 years. Master Hill is an excellent instructor, and works really well with students of any age. Really strong emphasis on discipline and perseverance, while understanding and accommodating for the fact that every child is at a different level developmentally. For parents/other adults, it's also a great workout! My husband and I are in the best shape of our lives.
My son has been enrolled in this academy for about two years. He is more attentive to instruction and more respectful to others as a benefit of his training.
Summit is absolutely fantastic! The instructors are so awesome and really care for the kids! My daughters love it and have learned so much discipline and are having the best time!
Love Summit. Master Hill is awesome with the kids. Very knowledgeable
My boys love Summit Martial Arts! Since they have been attending the academy, I have noticed my boys' behavior issues decreasing more and more. Master Hill is very encouraging to the students and makes the experience fun for all, including the parents. I have seen many reviews talking about how expensive this academy is, and it may be, but it is well worth it for the kids to experience more motivation, encouragement, improve self-control, attention, honor, respect, not to mention it gets them off the games daily and gives them something to look forward too. Much love to Summit and their lessons and kindness to my family
Master Hill is great with his students of all ages. I have noticed a diffrence in my sons attitude as well as confidence and respect for himself and others. Its a great work out and a good way for him to interact and learn discipline. I highly recommend the investment in yourself or your child.
We are new members of SVA and my son is 4. He is sooo excited! Ever since my 1st encounter with Master Hill, I have been impressed and treated with nothing but respect and transparency. I am so excited to see how my son, my family, will benefit from our time with Master Hill and Academy.
Update: I broke my left foot back in May, in 2 separate places. I have had to pay $182 per month even though I couldn’t go. Master Hill WILL NOT let me out of my contract. I do not plan on coming back due to my work schedule changing AND I don’t want to risk rebreaking my foot which still isn’t 💯. I stressed to Master Hill how financially this is killing me - a single parent income, with paying him monthly and all my Orthopedic visits and medical bills. I feel like he doesn’t care about the person/student and just about money money money. My son started over 2 years ago and is Blackbelt bound; my husband is a second degree Blackbelt and I have begun my journey. I love SMA, not just because of the Martial Arts, but by the relationships I am building too with my family and the people there!
READ THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!!! Went through the same experience 5 or 6 years ago as every single one of them. Google McDojo this place has all the signs of what a McDojo is and stands for. Don’t believe me? Look it up and save your money
DO NOT EVEN ATTEND ONE “FREE LESSON”….it is neither free…nor a lesson. It is 100% a predatory, high pressure sales push with your kids in the room. Hidden costs, shady tactics and a dishonesty that is frankly unacceptable for any business, much less one that supposedly teaches honor and discipline to kids. There are exorbitant initial “fees” with no detail on what they cover. Basically he is fishing for a little money from you before you see what they are doing and walk…or are forced to pay out THOUSANDS of dollars for a non-cancelable contract. YOU CAN CANCEL THE CONTRACT IN 3 DAYS IF YOU ARE TRAPPED INTO ONE OF THESE. He may be a fantastic Taekwondo Master, but one thing I am certain of, this is a predatory business looking to trap you into a 12 month non-cancelable contract. For young children (ours are 4yrs old). We cancelled immediately when we got home and realized we had been bullied into an exorbitant contract. The contract allows for cancellation within 3 business days, we canceled in less than 2 hours. But then we were told that he refuses to refund the charges that he FORCED us to pay that night (pressuring us in front of our kids, separating my wife and I, springing costs of overpriced EXCLUSIVE equipment that you have to buy from them). From that point on it became clear that part of the business strategy of this company is to squeeze money out of people through the bait and switch “free lesson”, and then fish as much money as they can get from you depending on your kid’s excitement level (ours were in the room the whole time and were used against us in the sales pitch). Once we called him on it, it was clear he had done this before, knew why I was calling, almost like it had happened before (read more reviews. It’s happened a lot of times. He forces his students and their families to write reviews and artificially inflate his star number…which is pretty low considering that fact…but look deeper. It’s clear what’s going on here). He was impossible to deal with and then just ghosted us. He promised to at least not make us pay the equipment fee and refund that…which he, of course, did not follow through on. All this….at Christmas too. He is arrogant and too comfortable causing pain to people to teach my children. He is a real problem, so please stay away and look for other options. Do not fall prey to this business predator. You can read Britt DeNuzio’s full review to get more details.
AVOID unless you want to be locked into an overpriced contract for your child’s activities like a freaking timeshare. We want to share our experience so others don’t fall into the same trap. Beware that many reviews exist because parents HAVE to write a review in order for their kids to progress through the program! We were invited in for a free private lesson and informational session for our 4-year-old boys. The kids loved the brief lesson and were very excited. Afterwards, we sat down for a presentation which quickly devolved into a high-pressure sales pitch. The “initial investment” was $594 but we could get a $200 discount if we signed up that day. We were never told what this fee was for, even after asking multiple times, except that it includes a martial arts uniform. So basically, it’s a very hefty enrollment fee. After that, the cost for two kids would be $364/ month for 12 months. This was much higher than quotes we have since received from other facilities. The 12-month contract is entrapment. Summit did NOT explain any of the fine print to us or attempt to be transparent in any way. We later discovered that you cannot cancel the contract for any reason (unless you contact them within 3 days). We don’t even know how long our kids will be interested in martial arts at this age. We have never seen a contract like this for any other activities our children have done. We should have walked - hindsight is 20/20. However, we do want the best for our kids. Against our better adjustment, we said we would consider enrolling. The staff immediately started asking for our credit card number. My husband and I had to ask for privacy to discuss things, and even then felt pressured to make a decision quickly. Finally, after we had already signed off, there was a “by-the-way” reference to the gear we had to purchase - more than $450 PER CHILD. This was not fully explained until we had already signed the contract. Master Hill then explained that in order to get “bag tags” which are a reward system which allows the kids to move up through the program, we would need to market for Summit in the form of referring a friend, writing a social media review, etc. This explains why there are so many positive reviews!! The program claims to reward the CHILD’S achievements, yet the ability for a student to progress is contingent upon their parents’ actions?? We had buyer’s remorse before we even walked out the door. We were blinded by the $200 savings we would miss by not signing immediately. Typical high pressure tactic that we unfortunately fell for. We asked to cancel within 2 hours of leaving the facility. Master Hill argued with us, acting as if he did not see the issue in how they do business. He eventually agreed to cancel the contract. However, he claimed we cannot get a refund of the $394 already charged because he said it is stated in the contract that this is non-refundable (spoiler alert: NOWHERE in the contract does it say this!). When we explained that we felt they had used high pressure tactics to force a sale, his response was along the lines of, “You want a refund because you can’t say no to your kids?” He also argued that he should be paid for his time - sure, except he invited us for a FREE lesson and consultation. We gave him every chance to refund a large sum of money before any services were rendered, and he refused. He showed his true colors by failing to demonstrate any integrity through this entire situation. We are deeply saddened by this experience, because our children were so excited, and we truly believe martial arts would be positive for them in so many ways. Summit’s program might be phenomenal and might indeed be worth the much higher price tag than other programs - we certainly will never know from the Google reviews, which are coerced into being. We do know that we refuse to support a business that avoids transparency and uses predatory practices meant to trap people in contracts, ignoring all of the morals, respect, and honor that are touted as core pillars of their own martial arts program.
Edited to update- We no longer attend class at Summit. They are extremely unprofessional in their tactics for moving your child to a new program. They invite your child before checking with you, then ask to involve your child in the new class to try it out, and then have a meeting where they focus on how it's all up to the parent to help make the child succeed (with your child right there) and then slap a large upfront fee and 3 year signed commitment at you. Very unprofessional to do in front of a kid who they already hyped up on being invited to an "exclusive" class. This should be something presented to parents first with price and time commitment to make sure it’s possible. Speak to parents before speaking to the kids. You’ll also be stuck in their high tuition through the year even if you’re unhappy. Previous review- My 6 year old has been attending class twice a week for the past 4 months and each and every time she is SO excited to attend. Master Hill really knows how to work with all ages and it's been a great addition to my daughter's activities.
The only reason there are tons of positive reviews is because you as the parent have to make a good review in order to gain different achievements. These reviews are before you even have a chance to truly see their practices. If you miss days because of sickness or just life you don't get to fully make them up. With all of the days we missed he received two months of classes for our family without us getting to fully make those missed classes up. If you don't show interest in paying for all the extras and belt graduations(even if they are NOT ready) you are pushed aside. It took 4 months before the instructors started giving better instructions and taking and interest in my children. Overall would not recommend them. They have 3 instructors who are great. The others including the owner not so much. Very big headed and power hungry. Weird.
All of the previous reviews and comments regarding extremely high pricing is true. All of the previous reviews regarding the hard sell/car dealership type selling tactics are true. They use groupon as a means of getting foot traffic. Then they turn it into a $2000+ hard sell for a year of karate. When my wife and I came to the conclusion that this place was just trying to get us for every dollar we are worth (Registration fees, equipment fees, studio fees, graduation fees etc...) we contacted Master Hill. The email response we recieved from him was disgusting and showed he really doesnt care about the kids or the parents and just the $$$. My wife asked a couple of simple questions regarding re-enrollment after the first year, which was more expensive than the $2000+ we spent the first year, and the questions were answered. Here is the revealing and sad part about the nature of Master Hill...we responded to the answered questions with an email notifying Master Hill we would not be renewing for another year. His response, although offensive, should not have been a surprise. He called into question my wife and I's ethic, stating that we are teaching our son to be a quitter by doing so. He attempted to bully us at this point into signing back up. We didn't respond to that email, because I figured this honest review was more effective, but I still have a copy of his email response just to keep proof of Hills character. We enrolled our son in ANOTHER MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM THAT WAS MEETING EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT AT 6PM AT THE FORT THOMAS YMCA BEFORE COVID STARTED. WE DID THIS BECAUSE WE ARE NOT TEACHING HIM TO QUIT, BUT WE ARE TEACHING HIM NOT TO GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY CROOKS. IT IS VERY REASONABLY PRICED @$40 A MONTH. APPROXIMATELY 75% LESS THAN THIS SCAM. AND MASTER YAKIMOTO IS PHENOMENAL WITH THE KIDS TEACHING DISCIPLINE AND RESPECT AND BACKING IT UP THROUGH HIS BUSINESS ETHICS, TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS, AND HIS PRICING. HE DOESNT MAKE YOU BUY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF RUBBER AND FOAM. HE JUST ASKS YOU TO WEAR A UNIFORM AND COME AS YOU ARE. HE PROVIDES ALL TRAINING GEAR NEEDED DURING THE LESSONS. STEAR CLEAR OF SUMMIT. HILL ALSO BEGS ALL HIS CUSTOMERS TO LEAVE 5 STAR REVIEWS SO ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ARE GIVING YOU REAL OPINIONS. STEAR CLEAR AND GOOD LUCK!!!!
Their business dealings are dishonest. We were told not to worry about the cost of equipment before signing a very expensive contract. We signed and two classes later were told the equipment would be well in excess of $2,000 for our children. They pushed a hard sell and led us to believe we did not have to worry about the equipment costs. Unethical and dishonest as business owners.
I've never seen anything more expensive than this place and I've had a teacher who was a disciple of Ip Man. One of Bruce Lees teachers. The cost associated with this place is at least 4 - 5 times that of other businesses like this. They expect a registration fee, which isn't unusual a lot of places will charge $100-200 plus give you a free uniform. This place wants around $400-500 registration. A lot of places will charge for sparring gear which is $50-100 bucks. This place wants $482 for plastic and foam. $65 for a gym bag! Even worse is they tried to get us to sign up before letting us know that there was a $772 equipment purchase. This is the last day for X kind of thing. All prices completely jacked up btw. This is like a car dealership that somehow merged with a phone store that's looking to sell contracts. I can't believe anyone goes here. Car dealership tactics at a martial arts place that probably teaches morals. Beware. Oh and they'll pretty much sell you a black belt if you sign up for a 3 year contract.
