Our daughter who recently turned 8 yrs old just moved up to Jr Grapplers from Little Champs. As one of the smaller students she was apprehensive to switch classes. However, she had a blast and the instructors made it a seamless transition. They definitely took the focus and skill to a whole new level but still implemented the fun our daughter was so accustomed to at Little Champs! Our daughter and our family can't wait for the next class and look forward to the growth and progress of her grappling and knowledge of BJJ!

Our son has really enjoyed the little champs class at Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He has tried several different types of classes, but hasn’t taken to any of them like this. It’s a mix of having fun, learning self defense, and learning important values. Right now they are learning respect. The owners Tiffany and TJ are really nice and welcoming. Elizabeth is also great when you need help with any of the details. It’s so good to see our son having fun, making friends, and learning important life skills. 10 out of 10 recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

I can’t say enough good things about Gracie KC. The entire staff are just born to teach and are so engaging and great at what they do. The instructors are masterful at engaging the kids which helps keep them focused and keeps it fun. It’s hands on and fast paced and just awesome. My son has fun every single time and the students actually get to partner up and practice with each other, unlike some other martial arts programs we’ve tried where the students don’t get to physically interact with each other. After months of watching my son practice, I started their women’s self-defense evening classes called Women Empowered and I just can’t get enough. Mrs. Tiffany is an incredible instructor, the class is so fun and what we learn is absolutely priceless. The other thing we love about Gracie is the flexible scheduling. They offer several class times throughout the week and you can come to whichever one works for you that week. For youth classes, sign up for 4 or 8 times per month or unlimited classes and just drop in to the class/es you want that week. On top of all that, the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, they create opportunities for students and families to support the community, they encourage self-discipline at home and motivate students to be good humans. We love love love Gracie Jiu-Jitsu KC and highly recommend you try it out.

The instructors are fantastic and my confidence and competence in defending myself have dramatically increased. I can't say enough good things regarding Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Kansas City!

Our son has been attending Gracie Jiu-Jitsu KC since July2022. The team there has embraced us since day one! The focus on safety and respect for each other through Jiu-Jitsu is second to none. Our son was timid at first, the instructors welcomed him and made him feel comfortable, now we cant keep him away from the mats. His confidence and skill have grown tremendously over the past couple of years. The program and the staff are top notch, I can't recommend Gracie JJKC highly enough, you will not be disappointed!

My son just started Jui Jitsu and LOVES IT! He is a bit timid at first, but the instructors were engaging and made him feel comfortable. I was impressed that they kept encouraging him to participate and eventually he felt comfortable enough and jumped in. We have only been about 6 times, but we have been impressed. Everyone has been helpful and informative.

Been going to this CTC since 2020. I was brand new to Jiu-Jitsu and had no prior experience with any martial art. I can say whole heartedly that the Gracie Combatives self defense course is the place to start. It teaches the foundations of Jiu-Jitsu and translates extremely well to nearly any self defense situation. The instructors are validated regularly by Rener and Ryron at the home office in Torrwnce, CA, so you can have confidence you are receiving Gracie certified instruction. Speaking of instructors, they're GREAT! Extremely personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. Every student will get some 1on1 instruction and your questions are always answered respectfully. All ages are welcome and can easily train with any other student. Something I can say about this place is that everyone is very friendly and the Jiu-Jitsu community is pretty tight knit and respectful. After completion of the Combatives program the Master Cycle opens up the progression towards earning belts up to and including the black belt. They also have a program tailored for women which my wife and daughter have started. It's a terrific investment and the friends we have made are priceless. Would recommend and worth every star.

My children and I have been students at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Kansas City since 2022. We love their instructors and facility. The adult program is especially well-structured and allows for a controlled progression of skill. Training partners here are fantastic and come from all walks of life.

From the moment you walk in you can tell this place is a more than a business, like a family ready to teach you about the real experiences of juijitsu applied to your life. The love, respect, wisdom, and fun you can have in this place allows you to develop a true passion for juijitsu. The teachers are easy to understand and talk to. There are all levels of practitioners, the times are flexible, it’s family oriented. There isn’t much more you can ask for. It’s sanitary, organized and you can learn to be a compete mma competitor under one roof. I literally Couldn’t ask for more. There’s plenty of competition if you want to step your game up and try out your true skill level. Get ready to get roll, and get rolled…

I have been training at Gracie Jiu-jitsu Kansas City for almost 4 years. The Combatives classes start at a slow to moderate pace. The instructors gradually sprinkle in additional details about each move while every student progresses at their own pace. Instructors ensure students are successful in technique mastery with a strong emphasis on student safety. This safety emphasis continues through the more advanced Master Cycle as the techniques can become more complex. The instructors are very knowledgeable and compassionate about jiu-jitsu and foster an excellent learning environment. Students have been known to travel distances of over 45 minutes to attend classes!

I have been going to Kick for a few years now and I absolutely love this place. The instructors are great at what they do- they are knowledgeable, friendly, and they keep things entertaining. I started with their Women's Self Defense course and learned so much about how to keep myself safe while learning in a fun atmosphere. Because Kick offers so many adult class options, once I finished one course, I was able to continue learning with their general jiu-jitsu courses and am loving the positive impact it has had on my health, fitness, and my stress levels. I'm so happy I found this place and I look forward to many more amazing years with this gym!

I joined the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Kansas City adult program over 2 years ago when I was looking for a challenge and to learn something new. I appreciate the structure, self defense focus, and approach that teaches the fundamentals first. It is an incredibly effective system and I am fortunate to have found it here. Just as important, the people are great and create a sense of community and friendship.

This is the most amazing place with the most amazing instructors. I was uncertain when I went to my first class, because this was not the type of thing that I did or felt comfortable doing. These instructors and classmates took me in and made me feel like I belonged there. Now, many years later, they are my extended family. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has helped me grow and learn things about myself I never knew was possible. I am stronger and more confident and I can protect myself if the situation arises. I have met amazing people along my journey. This has been a blessing for me and I would encourage anyone to come and join this family. You might just surprise yourself.

My son Patrick and I have been attending Gracie Jiu Jitsu Kansas City since August 2022, and it has been an incredible experience from the start. The staff and instructors are truly top-notch, creating a welcoming and family-focused environment that feels like home. The kids’ curriculum is outstanding—teaching confidence, discipline, and valuable life lessons, with the most important being to avoid conflict whenever possible. For adults, the program is equally inviting. It’s not about creating warriors but equipping you with practical self-defense skills while fostering camaraderie and lifelong friendships. One of the best aspects is the no-pressure approach; you’re encouraged to learn and grow at your own pace. Joining this academy has been one of the best decisions our family has made, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly!
