Honoring Western Martial Arts through close-combat classes for sword enthusiasts .
I had my very first longsword lesson today and absolutely loved it! Welcoming, skilled students, and Baer Kenney is an excellent instructor. I felt right at home, even though I had no clue what I'm doing! Equipment was provided, the school is comfortable, and it's a great combination of strategy, knowledge, and athleticism. I will definitely be back, and I recommend Baer Swords to anyone, regardless of age and skill level.
Love my experience here. Easy to get started and very helpful people. Excited to go to more classes
Been going to Baers for 7 years. Absolutely love the place. Friendly and inviting in every facet. Everyone is there for the furthering of the culture and skills of all fencers. Baer and Kat run everything clearly and efficiently. If you are looking for somewhere to start I cannot recommend them enough.
Great place!!! Have started taking classes, the instructors are very helpful. And they supply everything you need. The instructors walk around checking your progress and offer assistance. The owners are super nice and helpful.
Had a great time watching the light saber tournament! I had no idea it was an actual sport with such detailed rules and scoring. I learned a lot!
Very nice people and wonderful lessons Would recommend!!
I took the one handed sword fighting course and everyone was very welcoming. One of the other students even gave me some tips when I was struggling with the stances. It was a super fun place to learn sword fighting and I will hopefully be making it back again
Honestly never been here im planning on it just saving money to go im only 14 but would love to do this
Awesome instructors, wonderful environment, owner is very clearly passionate and knowledgeable
This place is fantastic! Staff is super friendly and patient during lessons! Definitely 10/10
We won 4 free classes in a school fundraiser. The very professional staff made my very shy son feel comfortable. They allowed me to stay and watch the sessions. They were very good at differentiating instruction for all levels and abilities and they made the class exciting and fun while still learning new things. Great experience!
Excellent instruction and fantastic atmosphere. I highly reccommend this to anyone looking to learn about swordsmanship.
Perfect pace for an initial visit. The teacher worked individually with our student before the class and was very encouraging. We will be back.
I had fun. The environment was great as well as the people.
Even though I couldn't take regular classes, he was willing to try and give me as much as he could in an hour and a half. Being flexible like that was a great kindness.
Excellent facility and equipment. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. I joined the lightsaber class on Monday nights and I had the time of my life since buying a custom lightsaber. Safety equipment is top notch and instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely will be going back!
Had such a blast trying one of these classes! Happened to get there early when there wasn't another class going on and the instructor took the time to show me and my friend the basics before our class started. What a unique way to get a workout, learn a skill, and have fun!
Baer is a great communicator and mentor. Always fun to be around.
Wonderfully engaging instructors who clearly understood what they were doing and how to instruct novices and veteran swordsmen.

My son, who is 12 years old, is taking a class at Baer Swords. Baer is knowledgeable , patient, and a great teacher. I highly recommend this establishment if you are interested in learning swordsmanship and/or are interesting in improving your overall fitness.
Had an absolute blast getting to experience long sword for the first time! Baer Swords was super knowledgeable about technique and practicality, the pacing of the lesson was great, and the sparring afterwards was both fun and educational as we got to implement aspects we learned in actual combat. Loved it!
I attended my first class over the weekend. Baer was great he caught me up to speed and had me having a blast on no time, but the truly best part what how welcome I immedatly felt from the time I stepped in the door. Great instruction, great atmosphere, great people could ask for more.
Baer really knows how to get one excited for the upcoming class, he even is having a class on lightsaber forms so that anyone who wishes can let out their inner Jedi or Sith! Overall Baer makes the class fun and enjoyable with much to learn! Just be prepared for alot of learning!
My daughter just did her first lesson with Baer, and he was a great instructor. She's excited to go back!
