Great gym, extremely friendly folk. Was visiting London as a tourist and they really made me feel right at home. The atmosphere felt incredible and they made sure I felt very welcome. Very hospitable, high level gym, safe training environment. Head coach Javed, legend. 5/5 would recommend

I arrived in London without knowing where to train, and I managed to find this BJJ academy. The owner gave me a warm welcome, as did everyone else. I thank everyone for the wonderful time spent there and for the hospitality❤️❤️💪

I trained here for around four months and really enjoyed it. Great coaching, variety of classes, and value for money. Plenty of very friendly people here with a top quality and safe approach to sparring. I particularly enjoyed the No Gi classes. Would highly recommend

Amazing place to train as a visitor. Was treated with great respect. The level is as good as the pedigree suggests. 10/10

I did my first class here. Javed and Taf are fantastic teachers and very welcoming. I'm a total beginner with less than 5 lessons under my belt and they are very patient and helpful. The gym is well kept and clean. The members are also very friendly and everyone encourages to learn off each other

The best gym in London. These coaches will make you the best you can be, and have set a friendly and welcoming culture—everyone you roll with will be kind and respectful (and lethal). Technically excellent coaches, like Jav and Amrita, who frequently hone their skills at comps AND are great teachers, are extremely hard to find. The Muay Thai training from Paulina, Yousef & Younis is impeccable too, you’ll find yourself torn between grappling and striking as your two loves

Training at Grappler’s Den has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the moment you walk in, there’s a real sense of respect and teamwork. Everyone looks out for each other, so even though the classes are tough and high intensity, you always feel safe. The coaches are excellent : they break things down clearly, push you to work hard, and make sure you’re constantly improving. What stands out most is the vibe: supportive, energetic, and genuinely enjoyable. It’s rare to find a place where you can train seriously, push yourself to your limits, and still leave with a smile on your face. Grappler’s Den manages to strike that balance perfectly.

Grapplers Den is easily one of the best places to train. The level of expertise here is outstanding, with instruction that traces directly back to Gracies. The head coach brings decades of experience, supported by black belts and a variety of senior coaches who make the classes engaging for all levels. Beyond the technical instruction, the club has an incredible community feel and sense of brotherhood. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and pushes each other to improve. Grapplers Den also shines in major competitions, showing its competitive edge while still keeping a family-like atmosphere. On top of all this, the gym maintains the highest hygiene standards, making it a professional and safe place to train.

Grapples Den in Balham is hands down one of the best places to train. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, with a real sense of community from the moment you walk in. The coaches are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping you improve, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced. The classes are structured perfectly, challenging yet accessible and the level of detail they put into technique makes a huge difference. The mats are always clean, the vibe is positive, and you leave every session not just fitter, but better. Easily a five-star academy and a hidden gem in Balham.
