Visiting Nashville with some friends, went to an open mat ran by Professor Hanks. Hands down the most friendly and welcoming bjj dojo I've seen. He was very knowledgeable and happy to share new techniques and pointed out areas for us to improve. Definitely check them out.

Truly one of the most finest place to start your martial arts journey. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to take back abundant knowledge from every class as they teach you traditional Brazilian Jui jitsu which I believe- prepares you for life. I feel very grateful to be a part of the Rickson Gracie family. Kudos to our master Eric Silver, Hank, and other fighters who always push you to train well and stay grounded.

Mr. Silver is a walking textbook of martial arts knowledge. He has been enormously helpful in developing my jiu-jitsu and self defense skills. The rest of the students are also incredibly helpful and respectful. It is a welcoming environment that makes everyone like family.

The quality of the training in both jujitsu and karate is unmatched. Mr. Silver’s dedication to continuously improve these arts, his instructors, and students shows in each and every lesson. His dedication has been passed on to his instructors so no matter who you are training with you will be in the best possible learning environment. The dojo is great for individuals or families of all ages.

I really enjoy the teaching and the environment here. There are three black belts that teach, and their combined jiujitsu experience is over 60 years. It’s a great place to learn. The atmosphere is also really good, as all of the students are really friendly and more interested in helping each other get better than trying to hurt someone.
