  After being to more than a dozen martial arts gyms, I can say that I will stay here forever. It's not just a great gym to learn technique, but also a heartwarming community. Liberdade is my home in Nashville. Alex and Milton are the best and the most lovable coaches you can ever ask for.

  An absolute gem of an academy. I've visited on 2 separate occasions whilst in Nashville for work. I've been training for almost 15 years, habing trained and competed all over the world and you will not find a more welcoming and friendly place to train. And that's before I mention that it's run by a bjj legend and one of pioneers of the modern game. I have admired his style since my blue belt days. Milton and his partner have created a world class facility that I count myself fortunate to have experienced. I wish I could have spent more time there, soaking up some of Milton's wisdom and will certainly drop in if I find myself in Nashville again. May they have great success 🙌

  This place is amazing. Professor Milton is a high level Jiu Jitsu player and also a great teacher. On top of that, the culture that he and Professor Alex have cultivated here is welcoming and respectful. I have been fortunate enough to drop in here twice during my travels. If I lived in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to join this academy. I was also able to see the tail end of kids classes on both of my visits and can say that they do a great job with them as well.

  Large mats and great instruction from Milton and Alex. They are patient and always have great feedback. A good mix of belts and lots of camaraderie at this academy.
