  I have been training here for just over 1 1/2 years and couldn’t be happier. From the very beginning, all the instructors and students have been welcoming and helpful along my Jiu Jitsu journey. When being trained by a world champ, or black belts under him, you know the instruction is going to be world class. The environment is supportive, professional, clean and friendly. Having trained at a few other places, nothing compares to the quality of instruction from here. Highly recommend to anyone interested in BJJ.

  Get your kids in jiu jitsu! And parents can come to the adult classes too! Professor Darren runs an amazing academy, the best in Roseville! Clean facility, clean mats, plenty of class times with excellent instructors. Come in, learn the gentle art, get some great rolls in and feel good! Best way to give it a fair shot is to observe a class then next time, give it a go! And yes Cassio comes and teaches classes here too!

  Both of my sons just started classes here and I have to say Im impressed! The instructor was super friendly, has ample knowledge and the class size seems perfect. Clean facility with plenty of parking . i may even decide to take classes myself!

  Great location near I-80 Freeway next to In and Out Restaurant. Excellent instruction, class times and friendly training partners makes this my go to spot when I'm in Roseville.

  I can't say enough Good things about Werneck Family Jiu Jitsu. I tried out Jiu Jitsu while trying to recover from a crossfit injury. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to train under Darren. He is an incredible professor that teaches in an organized and consistent manner. I actually look forward to waking up at 5:30 AM to go to Class. I'm getting a great complete work out, making new friends and learning skills to protect myself and family. Both my daughters age 8 and 11 also train here and the have progressed so far in terms of confidence, respect and self defense. They had spent several years in Kung Fu and I never really understood what they learned. From Day 1 in class the kids are rolling and learning how to deal with real situations. My older daughter says, "I love how I learn to be a better person while learning self defense. I also like that I can defend myself and control attackers without permanently hurting them." Darren always spends plenty time giving the children life lessons along with the BJJ training. Read the weekly blog to get an Idea of what this Studio is all about.

  Excellent instruction, low ratio, happy parents and kids!? What more can one ask for? Also there are three classes available in a week for kids to train. Excellent program for the summer, excellent program year 'round. Highly recommend, of course.
