We’ve enrolled our son not long ago in this school and we absolutely love it! My son enjoys going to class and learning a variety of martial arts techniques. The teachers are amazing! We like how they encourage the kids to do good every time.

I am so happy I have found this place. Since day one everyone here has been amazing! They all make you feel so welcome. And all the positivity and self discipline they teach I know is making a difference in my son. At first, he didnt want to go, but just after his first class, he was so excited and couldn't wait to go back. I feel so lucky we found a great group and environment for our son to be apart of.

Excellent school !!! My daughter has PTSD diagnosed . They make her feel comfortable and welcome . The school gives great instruction that would relate to real world situations. There is instruction for for stand up and ground fighting.

They are a great team at this location. They are all so great with the kids, each teacher so different from the next but they really make it happen when it all comes together! I love that aside from what they’re teaching they are constantly talking about good habits/health, getting along at home, at school, respecting parents, etc. Roseville Kovars we love you!!

My 6 year old son has been attending Kovars for almost a year now and he enjoys coming to class. His focus has gotten better since he attended Martial Arts. The instructors are very professional and kid friendly. They make martial arts fun and educational. I'd highly recommend them!

My son attends Kovars in Roseville and loves it. He has learned a ton and enjoys it every time. He NEVER complains about having to go. He is always excited about it and is in a great mood after class. The instructors are phenomenal with the kids. Overall a great environment with a ton to learn about Martial Arts and also life lessons.

Absolutely great program for kids. I love that they talk about how to be a good friend, leader, and discuss safety in addition to practicing their skills. Instructors are wonderful- so encouraging and supportive. Highly recommend!

Our six year old son has been attending Kovar's for 10 months in their Little Samurai program. Our son's Kindergarten teacher recommended Kovar's to us because her son had gone through their program, and she loved the principles and values that they taught him. We are so grateful for her recommendation because we have seen such an improvement in our son's social skills and focus. He loves the classes and is ACTIVELY engaged in each one. The instructors are extremely dedicated to the students and are so patient and caring. They also go out of their way to chat with the parents and are always welcoming to anyone that walks through the doors. We are now recommending Kovar's to anyone that shows interest in placing their child in a martial arts program.

Long overdue review! My oldest son joined Kovar’s in 2019. Even as a 5 year old he was instantly engaged. Kovar’s teaches mixed martial arts and different forms from all over the world. Adding weapons and even sprinkling in Jujitsu there’s so much he has learned and has fun doing it! The instructors are amazing with little kids and I love how they keep the energy upbeat. My youngest son started at 4 years old and still loves coming to class 2 1/2 years later. Kovar’s is like our extended family now. I’m truly grateful for all they do.

My son has been attending Kovar’s, little samurai group, for a few months and has had the best experience. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, CARING, patient and truly want to see your child thrive. Plus the studio is clean, well-maintained and spacious. We cannot recommend this studio more!! Highly recommend! My daughter (Age 4) just started 3 weeks ago and was a bit apprehensive about stepping onto the mat for her first class. The instructor's noticed this and approached her in a calm and collected manner putting her at ease, and then invited her onto the mat. Having no experience, she was still able to follow along as the focused on the fundamentals. 3 weeks later, no apprehension about stepping onto the mat and she loves all her instructors. Her words to me yesterday as we were leaving "the instructors are all really nice!" My favorite part, beside her newfound courage, is the sense of appreciation the team has for their students and families. They want to see their students succeed.

Signed up our 7 year old, looking for something to engage her. We did a lot of searches and reached out to friends, family, and our neighborhood Facebook page. Kovar's had a ton of positive comments, so we tried their 2 week trial program. By the second class, we saw our daughter's confidence spike and she was excited to hear whenever she had class. The instructors are extremely friendly and great with the kids. If you're looking for a martial arts/self defense class, i highly recommend checking out Kovar's Satori Academy of Martial Arts.

I was looking for a place for my kids to be physically active. A friend suggested Kovars. Not only is it a place for my kids to get some physical activity they also get amazing life lessons. I love that no matter what the weather, we are inside... when other kiddos are getting rained out at a sporting event we are sitting inside. I also love that I get to choose my days that my kids go. The instructors are great and genuinely care about the students.

My older boys tried martial arts but never followed through over the years, wish I had discovered Kovars back then. This is far and above the best of its kind in Northern California! My daughter has been diligent to continue for years and the team works together and runs it like a fine time piece, even during pandemics.

This is a place full of skill, heart, dedication, commitment, passion, integrity, and spirit. Since starting, my son has grown so much and become a great little man. Before he used to complain that cleaning is boring and now he cleans his room and parts of the house by himself without even being asked to! He is happier and very much learning how to manage his emotions. Did I mention he's 5?!?!! This location is the real deal and every person here is quality and I consider them all family. I cannot recommend enough!

Such a welcoming gym. If you are new to the sport or if you are visiting from out of town, you have to make time to drop in and take a class. It is certainly worth it.

It was my 1st class at this location and I just happened to be the only girl. Upon arrival there was a MAX Fitness class going on in the other room and the instructor greeted me immediately. He was very personable and showed me to the other room where Chad introduced me to the instructor James... James was GREAT! He really took the time to show me the techniques in a very simple but effective way and was not only knowledgeable but funny which took away any insecurities of not being good enough. I plan to go back and try a couple other classes with Chad. They were both very friendly to my daughter and even showed her a couple things. We had a warm and welcoming experience and I'm looking forward to going back.

One of the main reasons I went with Kovars was the schedule. I like that there are earlier times and post dinner times available. When you have kids who are involved in several extracurricular activities, I need as much flexibility as possible. The coaches are easy to talk to if you have concerns. The two coaches we had/have the most interactions with were Coach Shepard (miss him) and Coach Calvin (super welcoming and funny). My kids don't like it when I make them go more than 2x a week because they said it's too repetitive but I think that's good for them. I wish they had a better system of notifying them when you child does well. I wish it was part of the account or maybe even a Google form link would be helpful.
