  There’s so much I could say about Travis. I had the privilege of training with him for 4 years, both as a training partner and under his guidance as my coach. To this day, he remains the best teacher I’ve ever had. His ability to break down techniques with clear concepts, combined with his patience and openness to questions, is what sets him apart. When I was a white belt struggling with confidence and feeling like I was falling behind, I went to Travis for private lessons. His guidance played a huge role in helping me find the right direction and build my game. If you're in the area or considering starting jiujitsu, I can confidently say this is the place to go. Travis has created an environment that offers everything you could ask for: a positive and welcoming atmosphere, a hard-working training room, and a deep dive into both techniques and concepts. It's rare to find all three in one place, but he’s truly captured them all.

  I’ve known Travis for almost 3 years now, he has so much knowledge to offer for his students. Travis is a phenomenal instructor, his classes offer a great balance of demonstration and technique, as well as a safe environment for sparring. Watermark Jiu Jitsu offers a top notch facility that is super clean, and even has a pit wall, which is pretty awesome. I highly recommend anyone in the Cleveland area to come check out Watermark Jiu Jitsu. 10/10

  I came in to train at Watermark from out of town. The gym was very clean and the mats were top quality. The class was small and intimate which made for a lot of 1:1 instruction. Both Travis and Trevor did a great job of observing everyone’s technique and offering helpful pointers. The students in the class were very welcoming and not hesitant to train with me being a drop-in from out of town. Overall, the class was very balanced regarding time for technique, drilling, and rolling. I’ve known both Trevor and Travis for 10+ years growing up in CLE and I have nothing but good things to say about these 2 brothers. Their passion for coaching and learning the sport of Jiu Jitsu is second to none. I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to up their Jiu Jitsu game at a gym that truly feels like a family atmosphere.

  Travis Anderson is one of the best instructors and all-around people I have ever met. Whether you are seasoned in jiu jitsu or this is your first time on the matts, Travis tailors his classes to meet the needs of novice as well as expert training levels. While he will challenge you, his instruction is easy to follow and he always takes the time necessary to answer questions. I was new to jiu jitsu in 2022 and Travis is a big reason I felt comfortable enough to stick around!

  Great gym and Travis is an exceptional instructor. I have been training jiu-jitsu for nearly 14 years, and the environment he creates is great for new and seasoned practitioners alike. He does a great job of incorporating modern jiu jitsu techniques with the fundamentals. The facility is great as well, with plenty of mat space, a lounge, and multiple showers. Looking forward to training more at Watermark Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

  Coming in a little older (39), brand new with no prior wrestling or martial arts background, Travis made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. Classes are focused but relaxed and fun. Travis seems to have a keen eye for monitoring his students and knowing what level of complexity is appropriate for each individual. I feel like the tone is set by the instructor and I’ve found all the students to be a reflection of Travis’ laid back but passionate attitude for the sport. All the students have been helpful and respectful. Great place to learn.

  The facility is beautiful and the vibe is great! Always enjoy the music too. Travis's teaching style is unique and I can't compare him to anyone else. I enjoy the small details he gives when he's teaching even the most basic of movements. He caters to all levels in a way that he can provide a visual, a cue or even a story that allows you to understand whatever concept or movement we are learning. He has the ability to provide body awareness to someone who's NEVER been on a mat in their life. I think that ability alone to coach anyone in that way, really speaks for itself as far as instruction for classes. I trust Travis entirely when he shows me something and if I follow the instructions to a T its bulletproof. Highly recommend you check out his facility and jump in on a class !

  If you are considering giving Jiu-Jitsu a try or looking for a new place to train I highly recommend Travis as an instructor. As a current white belt it can be intimidating at first to try a sport like BJJ but Travis is a great instructor who is very thorough in his teachings and is patient and willing to help anyone at all levels. Great guy who is highly skilled and very technical at his craft and always looking to implement new techniques into his lessons. I have made great strides in the sport thanks to him.

  Travis Anderson is well-versed and experienced both as a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and an instructor. He is excellent with kids and will make classes fun and engaging. It doesn't matter if you are coming in with no prior grappling/martial arts experience or if you're an experienced colored belt.   I can’t say enough great thing about Travis and his new gym! He is the only mentor I have who is younger than me and has made a huge impact on me both personally and professionally. His ability to both teach the fundamental concepts of Jiu Jitsu as well as break down the fine, intricate details of advanced concepts makes him one of the best. This gym is far from me but I will make it a point to still come visit. If you live in or around Breckville this is your gym. Newbies to advanced practitioners - he even teaches kids classes.
