  Had a great first time experience at this facility and couldn’t be more impressed with not only the high level instruction/technique, but the attentiveness to making sure the steps are executed properly before moving on to the next. The students were also very friendly and welcoming. It was really great to be able to train with other women as well. Highly recommend this gym if you are considering starting or already a reasoned martial artist.

  For months now, Professor David “Vava” Littlewood has invited me to come train at his BEAUTIFUL academy (Bodyfit KC) off Main St. in KCMO. I was a bit hesitant at first, as I had not been received well by a few gyms in the KC area (ego trips and personality/ style clashes). Anyways, a little over a month ago I took Vava up on his offer after seeing some of their training on Instagram. My only regret is that I didn’t start training here sooner!!! They truly welcomed me with open arms (to strangle me 😂), open minds and a respectful culture where everyone truly wants to understand this art and get better. There’s established leadership, solid instruction, an all inclusive culture and no one avoids live rounds w/ anyone unless it’s TRULY unsafe (not just because of size difference and/or bruised egos🖕🏻🖕🏻). This is my favorite spot to train in the city by a great margin, so far! Looking forward to bringing up the level of more modern approaches to Jiu Jitsu in the KC area with these guys and the people they associate with. Cheers to the future!🥂

  I've training here for about a year. This is a fantastic place to start or continue your jiu jitsu journey. Vava and his team will push you to be a better martial artist, whether you want to compete or (like me) you are the picture of a hobbiest.

  I got the opportunity to train here and everyone was great. This is a great facility with really great weightlifting equipment and top notch BJJ instruction!

  I had a great experience at this gym, everyone was welcoming and there is a great culture in the environment. I am from california and i recommend this gym for anyone who comes to Kansas city and wants to train. I will definitely come back if i am ever in town in the future
