Great gym. Very positive and non-toxic culture, everyone is very friendly, patient, and welcoming. Price is pretty standard for a fighting gym, but they have a variety of different classes and they're all included. So you could pay for a monthly membership and go to multiple different classes everyday if you have the time, which makes it more than worth it. VERY WELCOMING TO LGBT, WOMEN, POC, ETC!!!

Great class, dropped in with coach Nico and Coach Matt for 6am class. Great group, great location, super welcoming, will be back next time I’m in KC.

I was in Kansas City for a few days and decided to drop in at Alive Jiu-Jitsu, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I stepped in, Coach Justin made me feel right at home. Justin took the time to introduce himself, explain the class structure, and even gave me personal pointers during training. His knowledge and teaching style are top-notch, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the students’ growth. The gym itself has a great atmosphere—clean, well-equipped, and full of positive energy. Everyone in class was super friendly and made me feel like part of the team, even for just a short visit.

I dropped in for the nogi class and the coach Justin along with the students made me feel very welcome. The class consisted of games using techniques with some live resistance which made the class very fun. The rolls afterwards were very competitive and high level, looking forward to visiting again when I'm in Kansas City.

Dropped in here while in town for a work conference. Justin was super welcoming and is a great instructor. Gym is really nice and clean and training partners were really cool. Highly recommend!
