  An awesome Mixed Martial Arts gym with a huge range of classes in different techniques and some really great coaching! My son absolutely loves the kids Brazilian Jujitsu sessions and has grown in strength, skill and confidence!

  Came to Wales for a holiday and i was looking up some local gyms for bjj.i was lucky to find this one. I had a great time from the get go and i was impressed with how welcome everybody made me feel. Coach showed some cool techniques and i had a blast in the sparring session. The level is high and the guys are very technical and egoless. I definitely recommend it and i will come back in future whenever i get the chance ! Thank you very much for having me!

  The Mat Academy is a brilliant place!! I was looking to improve fitness levels and to learn new things. Having an average skill set from my younger 20s at the UFC centre, I didnt feel confident on attending classes due to the quality/level of fighters they have but never once felt like I shouldn't be there. 2 months on and attending MMA Beginners and Jujistsu I leave every session feeling productive and educated. I cant wait to book my next class and to get my daughter involved with the kids jujistsu. Amazing coaches and humble experienced members.

  Brilliant gym with brilliant trainers! The talent is unreal and very accepting of all levels. I’ve always loved the sport yet no matter my level they have always accepted, motivated and given me time many gyms wouldn’t. I recommend to everyone Whether beginner or advanced they have everything. Thanks again may academy!!

  I signed my son up for jiu jitsu classes to help him with his first year in tackling with rugby and wow did things progress!! He now attends all of the kids classes and loves every minute there! Lewis and Wayne might be scary looking 😂 but are absolutely fantastic, my son had major confidence problems before starting here but is now flying. It's not just the skills they learn it's the whole lifestyle they learn it's great for kids and teaches them properly how to channel aggression and he has made friends for life here including the coaches 😉 also point out that having had a slipped disk in my back 2 years ago yoga with Lewis Long has helped more than all the months of chiropractors ever has 👍
