I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Tensei! The instructor Fabio is not only extremely knowledgeable he is also down to earth and hilarious. Instruction is very clear. Fabio shows multiple options for people with different preference and body types. Something I really appreciate. Very laid back environment but everyone works hard and is trying to improve. All the training partners I’ve had have been respectful and welcoming. Nobody seems to have an ego or is trying to prove anything. All in all Tensei is a safe and fun environment to better your jiu jitsu while learning practical self defense.
Love the is facility. The coach is respectful and honest man and the students are always willing to help you learn and grow. No big egos at this gym!
I have kids going to the youth program here. The professors are very kind, wonderful people. Martial arts of any kid can be intimidating and we really appreciate how the instructors help our kids. There is a good mixture of people who teach the classes. Classes are a combination of excercise, training kids in discipline (listening, following instructions), technique, and play. My kids love the games. There are so many inspectors to thank! Thank you to Fabio, Pamela, Josue, Monti, Hunter and Jack (and all the people at Tensei). We appreciate you being here in our community! Edit: just got done with my first beginner class tonight. Fabio teaches a very great class. The pace is fast but manageable and the group of people are very accommodating. If you are considering joining my experience has been great with my kids and the adult program seems equally excellent. Thank you!
I was very fortunate to find Tensei Jiu-Jitsu, it is a very unique opportunity to participate in many life enhancing activities. The instruction is excellent as is the curriculum. I was introduced to Fabio and Jiu Jitsu probably about a year and a half ago by a good friend. I have worked out my whole life and have taken self defense classes, etc. I have always been interested in some sort of martial art, but it isn't something I had ever pursued and it was also out of my comfort zone. Since working with Fabio, I have become so much more comfortable with it. He is an excellent teacher and makes the seemingly complicated much more simple with clear, guided direction. He has a calm personality and really gears it towards whatever you want it to be. He has people that are competing and people like me who are in it for the self defense aspect. It is a fun class, a good work out and I highly recommended!! :)
Fabio is a great instructor with a ton of knowledge. He is very detail oriented in what he teaches. He does a great job at helping people feel comfortable when they are getting started in jiu jitsu. You can't go wrong with training under him at Tensei jiu-jitsu.

I have known Fabio since I first began my martial arts journey 13 years ago. I have always been impressed with the quality of his classes. He has a strong focus on fundamentals, with a flair for the fancy, that keeps you engaged and wanting to learn more. His classes are informative, funny, and I would trust him to train my family, which is a huge compliment! Friendly atmosphere, expert BJJ practitioner, variety of skills, exceptional video tutorials for free I know Fabio from my time at another BJJ school. He is a funny guy, and will make you feel welcome from the moment you set a step into the school, which will make it a lot easier for you to start. He also is an excellent instructor. With around 30 years of experience, he knows a variety of techniques. In just a short amount of time, you will learn techniques for different situations in the sport. An important aspect that sets Fabio apart from other instructors is his wide variety of skills. He also knows Judo and has a good idea of how to behave in a self-defense situation. It is important for him, to not neglect the self-defense aspect. This means besides learning to how to fight on the ground, he can teach you how to get to the ground, and how to use punches, as well as defending against them, and, moreover, the mental part of self-defense. I learned more for self-defense in six months under Fabio than in eight years of Karate. That is not just an opinion. I got into a fight with someone I know to be a very dangerous opponent, and I won without much effort, thanks to what I learned from Fabio. It also worked against trained fighters in MMA. You also do not have to worry if you miss a class. He puts a lot of effort into recording his instructions and sharing them with students. So, exceptional tutorials for you are included in the price. Speaking of instructions: They are as long and detail as they have to be, but not longer than necessary, except for a funny joke now and then. Furthermore, he has a genuine interest in answering your questions. In short, 10/10. You are glad to have Fabio as an instructor. You should really check out his school.
