The lineage of this training facility is legendary. I trained with Professor Wiseman when he first opened his doors. I made huge gains back then when bjj was hard to come by. The lessons learned were instrumental to my development as a young man. Amongst coaches, there are levels. The highest of all achievements is training ones son to follow in difficult footsteps. This building has a world-class training environment. The training is serious yet welcoming. Don't be scared you can change your life in this building. I still have fond memories of the governors in my mind that we're shattered by attending these classes.

One of the best gyms I have had the pleasure of training at. I am a BJJ black belt and have trained all over the world. Coach Wise and his team provide one of the best environments I have been a part of. I am currently coming off an injury a this place has been a second home since moving to Washington. Coach Wiseman, and all of Team Wise, make this the most welcoming environment possible! And everyone genuinely just wants to help you become better! Edit: had an account issue and it was resolved quickly. This will be the cleanest gym you will ever go to. Neat, organized, well stocked with weights, pull-up bars, treadmills and even a nordic hamstring curl machine. It also smells good which is rare for an mma gym!

Has a great family feel stemming from mixed parents/kids classes. Tues-Sat class is typical broken up with an hour of skills work, typically drilling a series or family of moves. The last 30 minutes is usually rolling in a tournament format. This help those going to tournaments immensely. Mondays & Fridays are no-gi rolling.

For starters, they have one of the best kids jiu-jitsu programs in the country, but what separates this gym from others is the family environment. Many parents started as observers and are now side by side working out with their kids. Coach Aric is my 12 year old's best friend and is a true mentor. Best coaching, best facilities, best families, you can't go wrong.

I chose this place out of its convenient location not realizing I was going to get some of the best Jiu Jitsu training around. My son despite being the quiet type took to the environment right away. The coaches made him and my family very welcome. The training experience is excellent and it is noticeable when you see it against other well known establishments. My son brought home 2 golds on a 6-0 record with 6 submissions after training for about 6 months. The difference is the intensity at which the kids train but still manage to have fun. The coaches get to know the kids on an individual level and partner with the parents who make themselves available to get the most out of the experience. Even the most minor details are celebrated as the kids develop because they are so important to the grand scheme. My daughter has joined after watching the class as well as her brothers development. She is a multi sport athlete and the strength that this has developed for her other sports is amazing. This place is great if you want the best in instruction, conditioning and performance in competition or just a place to learn self defense, build confidence, and get in shape.

Coach Wise and Coach Riley have a creative, thoughtful, caring approach to coaching, but push their students to be their best! There is a true mentorship mentality here. This place seemed great and was close enough to Mill Creek for my nephew and I to take Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Martial arts have always been an interest but it seems a lot of schools we visited didn't seem like they were teaching the same as here. Looking forward to taking some MMA and kickboxing classes as well as BJJ.

Team Wise MMA is the best gym I've ever been to. Coaches Aric and Riley Wiseman have been around the combat sports world for a long time and it shows. They both have extensive knowledge and an uncanny ability to take ANY person, of ANY skill level, at ANY age and tailor a teaching style to help them learn, progress, and give them the confidence they need to succeed. The coaches are incredibly respectful and work hard for anyone willing to put in the time and effort. Once you're apart of the team there's a real sense of family and community unlike anything I've ever experienced. If you're looking to learn jiu jitsu, learn to strike or just work out Team Wise is the perfect place to be for kids and adults.

This place is fantastic for several reasons. First it's not a money pit like the Tae Kwon Do gyms are turning into. You are not going to get promoted just so you can pay for belt testing. You get promoted because you earned it. Second, this place has the most competitive kids team in the Pacific Northwest and wins the majority of tournaments by a large margin. Your children will learn valuable skills both for self-defense and in life. Hardwork is rewarded, kids are pushed and feel good when they achieve success. They are held accountable and are taught never to cheat or look for shortcuts. Also don't be surprised if you see a kid teaching adults, they are that good I trained here and so does my daughter. There is no other place I would let her train. She is more disciplined and confident now that she is a student here. Your membership here gets you access to weight training, endurance and conditioning classes, jiu jitsu, kick boxing and mma. I could go on but overall its just a wonderful place.

I train at Shoreline MMA (Alderwood MMA is owned and operated by the same people) and I recommended AMMA to one of my co-workers a few months ago. He wanted to get his kids into a new sport so I told him about Coach Wise and the Shoreline/Alderwood locations. I've watched Coach Wise run kids BJJ classes and he's amazing with them. Turns out that not only did my co-worker's kids love the classes, my co-worker decided to start training, too. I think that says a lot about AMMA and about how Coach Wise runs his gyms. If you live near Alderwood and want to train, I can't recommend it enough. Coach Wise and his staff are highly skilled, experienced, friendly and fun. It doesn't matter if your goal is to compete, get in shape or have fun training, Coach Wise and his staff treat you like family.

Amazing classes and staff! Alderwood's staff offers some of the best advice and coaching on technique that I have ever seen and are always warm and welcoming. They are great about answering questions, helping you find the classes and membership that best fits your needs, and are very in tune with where you are at and helping you set AND reach goals for where you want to be. I have trained with the coaching staff at both this location and their Shoreline location and have always found that the classes are structured in a way that the person who has been there for 6 years -or- the person just walking in today can jump right in and no one is left unchallenged or overwhelmed. They also offer an amazing children's jiu-jitsu program that helps young kids to succeed in the sport too. The time and effort that this coaching staff pours into our youth is unmatched. Both of my sons attend these classes and the change seen in them since starting here is remarkable. It is a merit based program that follows the same guidelines as the IBJJF, and the students training here pour everything they have into it. Their coaching staff does a fantastic job with the curriculum for every class they offer and they are warm, friendly and inspiring to their students. Definitely a place that feels like home and becomes like family.

The gym ans people where nice enough. But when i seriously hurt myself and was out of work i kept my membership for a couple months. But when i was having trouble making ends meet and making rent i asked if i could cancel. They insited i fulfill the term until completion or pay a several hundred dollar cancellation and where very rude an unsympathetic. The OWNER said he had no power to absolve me I ended up cancelling my card and taking out loans so i could pay rent and by food. And ive just found they sent me to collections. I understand i made an agreement, but i was a member their for two years almost and its really outputting to be treated like a number without empathy. Would not recommend going here.
