Truly amazing. The Sifus/Instructors are very knowledgeable at their craft and teach in a way that deals with today's experience and challenges.
I would highly recommend their programs for beginners, youth and gentlemen looking to evolve their skills. I would also very highly recommend their programs for women. If you've never had self-defense training, then this is a good place to start. If you've been through a traumatic experience, these gentlemen are extremely empathic to your experience and are also very capable and skillful at dealing with the post-traumatic healing processes and providing guidance through the journey of recovery. Also, as a female warrior, this is a great place to enhance those natural instincts within. Top tier, 5 star all the way.
I feel bad that I did not post a review sooner.
I attended this dojo when I lived in Oshawa and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a good blend of Japanese JJ and BJJ - with an emphasis on throws and submissions. It may not be suitable for pure 'sports' BJJ people (although I learned alot and I am more of a bjj guy), but if you want to know self defence, striking, throws and develop a good ground game, this is a great place.
Really good place for real martial artists and a place where anyone can learn new techniques. Also they are open to drop ins - this is something you should always look for in a school. Schools that forbid you going to other open mats, or other seminars are best avoided.
I started training at Taylor Jiu Jitsu about a year ago and honestly it's been one of the best life choices I have made. From the first time I walked in the dojo to present I have felt welcomed and appreciated. Very impressed with the hard work and diligence the instructors have maintained throughout my progression and happy to have become a part of this growing and amazing family.
Great place, even better people. Was always scared of joining new places. But, once I was through those doors it was the best decision I ever made. They welcome you with open arms. Truly one of the biggest families I have ever joined. Glad to be apart of this big family.
Looking for a place that feel like home and makes you feel like family? Look no further! This dojo is a great environment filled with great people! All of the instructors are patient, informative and really good at breaking everything down for you to understand. I've only been coming for 3 weeks but already my life has changed for the better and I'm truly grateful I get to be a part of this awesome dojo! If you're thinking about signing up don't wait, pull the trigger, its great and you'll love it!
