Oshawa BJJ has been an outstanding experience for my son. The coaching staff is knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in their students’ development. They create a structured, supportive environment where kids can learn solid technique while building confidence and discipline. The culture is welcoming and respectful, and it’s clear the coaches genuinely care. I highly recommend Oshawa BJJ for any parent looking to get their child involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Highly recommend Igor, Janine, and their entire coaching team! They’ve created a stellar environment that focuses on skill-building and character development for the kids. The community here is incredibly welcoming and supportive. You'll see the kids celebrate each other's victories and be quick to give others encouragement if things don't go their way. Bring your kid in for the trial classes - I bet you'll hear excited stories on the drive home.

Oshawa BJJ is a fantastic gym to train at home to world class competitors and coaches. They are extremely generous and welcoming. A great place for all ages and skill levels/aspiration either hobbiest or competitor you can find great training and coaching at oshawa bjj. If you are near the area I highly recommend.

Oshawa BJJ and Fitness is imo the best choice. Ive trialed at the other gyms mentioned, except Four Eleven. All of them have thier strengths and all i would consider to be good gyms. I have a RL friend who trains at Four Eleven, and I coach kids at comps and have had nothing but great experiences with those Four Eleven guys. That being said, Igor and Janine are world class practioners and coaches. They are still competeing and winning at the highest of levels. They bring practial BJJ knowledge for all levels and have a way of teaching that everyone can follow along. Unlike some gyms, we go live a lot through postional sparring and live rolls. We get an oppurtunity every clas to implenment what we were just taught. The focus on BJJ yes, but its more about fostering a family like environment and encouragment of growth. Ive trained at 3 gyms in just over 3 years in BJJ (due to moving for work) and ive never felt more at home! I travel from Peterborough to Oshawa 5-6 times a week with my Son, who also trains. We could not be happier!
