After returning to jiu jitsu from a 5 year long break, Estefan at Stasis reintroduced me back in a way that felt just like old times. Walking into Stasis felt safe, comfortable, and inclusive without insisting on itself, while simultaneously conducting structured and professional training. Nothing less of exceptional, definitely recommend visiting at the very least.
Posted 1 month agoMy husband Anthony trains at Stasis and can’t say enough good things about it. From day one, the facility has stood out for how clean, well-maintained, and organized it is — you can tell a lot of care goes into the space. The staff and coaches are welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive, whether you’re brand new to jiu jitsu or have experience. Classes are well structured, with clear instruction, a great balance of technique and drilling, and a positive learning environment that helps everyone improve at their own pace. What really sets Stasis apart is the overall vibe — respectful, motivating, and community driven. It’s a place where people genuinely want to see each other succeed. Highly recommend Stasis to anyone looking for a top-quality jiu jitsu gym with an awesome atmosphere.
Posted 9 months agoHaving never joined any martial arts / self defence style classes EVER.. joining Stasis as an adult was a minor leap of faith. What I found was a very welcoming group, who took me in as someone who didnt know anything about Jiu Jitsu at all. They worked with me from day one to understand the 'how to' step by step. The class structure makes it easy to jump in at any point and pick up techniques quickly. Everyone at the gym works with you at the right pace for you ability, giving you tips and tricks in the moment. Professor Estefan runs a tight ship - the place is sparkling clean (theres a culture of respect for his leadership and the environment that is shared) and the process to join classes and get started is easy and straightforward. Overall, it's a place where you belong and everyone is there to support each other's progress. Great group - all walks of life, and on the Stasis mat, under Professor's tutilige - you're equal competitors honing your craft. Watch our for the professor though... he's like a grizzly with an anaconda's gripping power! If you go to class - before long.. you can get there too.
Posted 9 months agoI’ve been training at Stasis for almost 6 months now and I would recommend anyone that is looking to start jiu jitsu to check this place out. Professor Estefan is a great teacher and is very welcoming to everyone who comes in. The students here are a great vibe and super easy to get along with. The gym is very clean and has afternoon and evening classes to fit most schedules. If you are looking to start training jiu jitsu then make Stasis your first stop. You will not be disappointed!
