I am very grateful to have found Camisa Dez BJJ for my 4 year old son. He’s a very shy kid but coach Sophie and coach Ryan are so kind, approachable, encouraging all while keeping him accountable and working hard (the other coaches have been amazing but my son specifically works mostly with these two). I was expecting a few classes to get him warmed up and comfortable but he just ran in and the rest was history. I couldn’t have asked for better coaches or studio culture. 10/10 highly recommend
I visited Camisa Dez when I was seeing family in town, and it was a great experience. They were very welcoming, both the coach and everyone in class. For context, I'm a blue belt and visibly queer, and I felt entirely welcomed and comfortable here. The instruction was nicely incremental, with time to practice what we learned before moving on. Class also had built in time for rolls, and I enjoyed the rolls I got. Also the space was nice, clean, easy to find. Thanks for letting me visit! Hope to see you again some time!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 — Highly Recommend! I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this place! Both my son and daughter attend Jiu-Jitsu here, and they absolutely LOVE it. My son is usually very skittish in new environments and doesn’t always transition well, so I wasn’t sure how he would do — but he jumped right in! That alone says so much about the coaches. They are incredibly welcoming, patient, encouraging, and truly amazing with the kids. Out of every extracurricular activity my kids have tried, this is by far the one they love the most. They genuinely look forward to going, and it has been so wonderful watching their confidence grow. I also take the fitness classes with Sarah, and she is AMAZING! After having both of my kids, I really struggled with rebuilding my deep core strength. Sarah has completely transformed it. I’m the strongest I’ve been since having my kids and lifting heavier than I ever thought I would again. She is knowledgeable, motivating, and makes you feel so supported. More than anything, this place has created such a beautiful, welcoming community for both kids and adults. We are so grateful we found it. ❤️ I couldn’t recommend it more!
Great BJJ club for all ages!! Both me and my kid train here and we love it! There was so much improvement with my kid, we can all see how confident and strong he has become. Training with Sarah on the Grit program is amazing too! Can’t recommend anything better than Camisa Dez!!

Love this place! We tried bjj for our son at another place last year and he wanted to quit within a month. He's been going to Camisa Dez for almost 4 months now and loves it. Family run, Coach Alvero is great, amazing people. Would highly recommend!
My daughter has been getting coached by the owner on and off for almost 3 years. If you are looking for a gym that truly cares about its people then Camisa Dez BJJ & Fitness is the right place for you and/or your child. The family that runs it does a phenomenal job at making every person that enters the doors feel like family as well. You can expect to get the best training and knowledge, all while feeling like part of a team and getting to workout in the most perfect atmosphere. As a parent, watching the confidence and discipline jujitsu has taught my daughter is worth everything! Joining this gym will be a great investment in yourself or your child's health.
I just want everyone to know how amazing Camisa Dez BJJ is… About a year ago, we were lucky to find the gym when it was just getting started. Today, training has literally become part of our family routine. In this time, my two kids have grown so much, not just in jiu-jitsu, but also in confidence and discipline. They’ve gotten stronger and are building the kind of fitness that’s so important for kids. The coaches are amazing, super friendly, and really caring with the kids (and the best, we can see it in the competitions haha). We couldn’t be happier. The kids feel at home and always want to stay longer at the gym. For anyone looking for a really good gym for kids (or even for yourself!), I highly recommend this place!
