Amazing experience there so far! Been there for 6+ months, and it feels like home. Everyone is so welcoming, and the sensei pushes you but understands your limits well. We learn through practice and randori! Would recommend for any kid or adult! Great exercise too.

We made the commitment to send our son here 1.5 years ago and it was the best decision for him. This sport has really pushed our son and shown him what he is capable of accomplishing with hard work and determination. The club is like an extended family for him and another great, safe and inviting place for our son and our family. Sensei Gabe's dedication and determination has shown us what a great, dependable and knowledgeable coach looks like. He is willing to go the extra mile to ensure our child is able to do judo and love it. Honestly, I could go on and on. Cannot wait for our younger ones to attend as well! We have never been big sports fan, but Judo has really changed that for us!

Our son started practicing judo with Sensei Gabe about 1.5 years ago. We have had a wonderful experience seeing our son grow in his knowledge of judo technique and discipline and how that has positively impacted all areas of his life. Sensei is a wonderful teacher. He provides a great example in all ways for his students. The dojo is safe, well-equipped and clean. The students have the opportunity to compete as part of the SBJC team and put their skills to the test.

SBJC is an incredible judo club. Sensei Gabe is very knowledgeable, and every class is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get better at this sport. There are classes for kids and adults, I highly recommend joining this club and improving yourself through martial arts.

Sensei Gabe is the real deal. He runs a professional training environment for those looking to take thier competition skills to the next level, as well as a safe and welcoming dojo for those looking to branch out thier skill set or just looking for a new way to stay in shape. Classes are well attended at every age level, and are very diverse in skill levels. I started my judo adventure 5 years ago at Ball State under San-dan Mario Camacho, and I am honored to continue it under 2023 Indiana Judo's best coach and club.
