  A massive thank you for Mark and team for great self defence sessions for our Ranger guide group. All really engaged in activities and feel they gained alot for the sessions. Mark was great at explaining all aspects and demonstrating how to help keep themselves safe. Brilliant - highly recommend

  Smafo have been life changing for my family. 3 of my children attend classes here, all the instructors/coach's are amazing. They have helped build my daughter's confidence, enabling her to take bigger strides in her martial arts career, but also in life outside the dojo, with school and friendships. They are a very welcoming bunch, always involving the parents and siblings and extended family of the members. They don't just physically invest in your child, but also emotionally, always asking the children how their day has been? How's school going? I know all of my children feel comfortable speaking to the sensei's about any problems/issues they may be having and the sensei's genuinely listen and care, always offering some solid advise. Smafo have become so much more to us than just a dojo, the whole team have become part of our family. We love it!!!

  My son has been at SMAF since the summer, and absolutely loves it. Great communication from the get-go and huge improvement in his fitness and confidence. The team are welcoming and really invested in every student. Couldn't praise highly enough!

  My son and I love coming to the classes. They have built both of our confidences. My son is autistic and they are fantastic with him, they just get him and the ways he can be. His balance and concentration has gone up immensely since joining SMAFO. Highly recommend them to both adults and children.

  Couldn’t be more positive about our time at SMAFO, both my children and myself attend classes regularly. We love the inclusive environment which is welcoming and friendly, making getting fit and learning new skills fun. We’ve all challenged ourselves in different ways and reaped the benefits; physically, mentally and socially. The instructors are great, they go above and beyond to provide a fantastic service for their members and their families. We cannot fault the service, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

  Since taking kickboxing back up after years of not doing it I found SMAF. They are the most welcoming and most positive guys and I’ve felt very welcomed and comfortable. They knew my old kickboxing academy and therefore knew what level I’d be at and have been nothing but accommodating and helpful. I’m very happy to be training again and everyone I’ve met so far is very welcoming, they always are up for a chat and will always help if you ask for help.
